This guy is getting more and more crazy. He's always been arrogant and a bit boneheaded but what he's doing this season...

First he slaps and provokes Calderon:

Ok, Calderon is a guy that can cope with it and who fought back.

Then Garnett made Glen Davis cry during the game:

And now he literally barks at Bayless behaving like a dog:

I like trash talking and dirty players, it's part of the game. But you have to be credible when doing so. Miller did it, Jordan did it, Bird did it. But they all made the big shots and took over at the end of games, they all talked trash at the other team's star. Garnett never showed this leadership, in fact last year's Playoffs showed he's the most expensive Role Player in the NBA. Maybe now he thinks he's the untouchable guy.
Can anyone here imagine Bill Laimbeer or Larry Bird behaving like a dog in front of a rookie? It's not tough or leadership but arrogant and wannabe legend.

I read stuff few years ago in an article on Tim Duncan called The Sphinx enigma, in which the reporter mentioned an anecdote with Garnett after a play between him and Duncan. I think Duncan dunked on his face plus the foul, something like that. Garnett started to insult him, Duncan doesn't show any expression(he is Duncan), and Garnett continues and continues, and starts to repeat the same and starts to look pitiful finally, and Duncan goes on playing. Spurs won.

Garnett never was a clever guy, he was a good basketball player, versatile, but he is silly either. What I read about him speaking about guns, Iraq war, etc... Well, he is not a wise man, never went to college. That's not his job.

Calderon answers, well, but he made the play, and Garnett did nothing against him.

Davis, I'd like to know what exactly happened, I don't really understand. I'd like to know the exact words Garnett said.

And Bayless, well, he made the shot over Garnett on the following play...

I hope in the Finals, Garnett will trash talk like that on every play, Lakers will make 100% of their shots :D

Remember his battle with Amare Stoudamire before the All-Star game last season.... that was pathetic!

Here's the thing: to whom is Garnett talking? It's easy to pick on guards, which Garnett seems to do frequently, especially young guards. Every game, he picks on some kid from the other team. Once he was trash talking Sasha Pavlovic. Big man, Garnett.

let him trash talk greg oden, ron artest, ronny turiaf or brad miller. he will have his hands full for these guys.

Who said that Garnett does it to small guys only?

or whose who don't retaliate?

He's behaving like a stupid thug. He doesn't deserve another title at all.

Peeler elbow shot was great, remember watching it live on satellite and I remember being shocked. Garnett had to be shocked too.

I like KG, he is a phenomenal role-player (most expensive and probably one of the best in NBA's history), but his behaviour is sometimes...difficult to understand.

And of course I hope, that he will help destroying Lakers for a next few years too. And even if he doesn't deserve a title, Paul Pierce and Ray Allen does, so sorry Lakers-fans :).

Yes, so does Kobe, Pau, Lamar, Bynum, etc... :D

So, it's even^^

He's been like this forever, literally. I heard stories about him in MN even before he became the big star. This is the only reason I want him off the US Mens squad.

This is his skills to have his opponents lose concentration.

BOSTON CELTICS as a team is an ASSHOLE!! because of KG's influence.!

Still I think, he was the MOST important piece of Celtics getting the title last year. it was his relentless mental influence, that made the pitiful Celtics the best one. I cannot see any other power forward, who could've done that. And his NBA commercial is the best one out there. :D

Yes, I remember reading some stories about him that he beat the crap out of some kid in highschool... or something like that.

Yeah that was Rick Rickert who he hit while at practice. He was like this even before that I guess. I guess he never matured skipping college. :p He is a good player but his attitude stinks.

But wasn't that when he was an MVP-candidate with the T-Wolves? I remember that because Rickert wasn't on the team yet and it was just during the training camps. After Rickert couldn't get a spot in the NBA, I really thought (and still think) that Garnett conspired to keep him off the team.

But, I agree with Richey666 (I never thought I would say that). Garnett was the most important player for the team, even though he can't do very much on the court. The thing is, the two or three things he does on the court are things that he does incredibly well.

This is where Tim Duncan is way ahead of Garnett imo. Duncan is a true gentlemen while Garnett is trash when it comes to his attitude and temper. (Maybe this also has to do with Garnett going directly from high school to the NBA while Duncan continued his degree in psychology and graduated with honors.)
Both players though are great leaders, work really hard on court, are vital players on their teams, and are winners.

I wonder if he tried trash talking to Shaq... that would be funny... although Garnett will be in trouble... look what happened to the Rockets several weeks ago when the fight started between the Suns and the Rockets... Shaq just push everyone that is wearing red and thats an entire team...

Damn, it would be great if Calderon would have kicked Garnett's ASS! :D I hate that jackass since 2000 Olympics where he acted like a clown. Not a surprise though, most of that USA team where clowns.

They, more than any other team, were responsible for getting world to disrespect our "style" of basketball. Thank goodness the '08 team wasn't like them.

Anybody see Garnett elbow another young player, LaMarcus Aldridge from Portland?
