the boy can improve. he needs to improve on his stamina and the skills will come. His career depends on his hard work on and off the court. He needs to train with a skills coach while he also needs to improve his physique by hiring a physical trainer.I think he has very good teammates, there is no way but up if he continues to work.

He looks very weak and awkward. Skills aren't there yet.

At his age now the focus should be more on developing his skills. Strength can come in later. Don't wanna see him growing up having the strength but too uncoordinated with his skills. A player who's like that is enrico villanueva. All muscle but almost zero basketball skills.

With Kai's physique, he doesn't look like he'll be a muscular player.

he reminds me of Wang Zhizhi or even a Kristaps Prozingis. Not really a bruiser but more of a finnese type of player, same as AJ Edu but I hope Edu will become more stronger as he matures. The kid is only 13 or 14 some guys started playing basketball at age 16 or even later, so I guess we have to be more patient. His physique and basketball IQ will mature (hopefully) along the way.The main reason why I think he looks weak is because, he is a bit winded thats why he does not look so efficient in the court, proper physical training and nutrition can make his physique and health better.I am not here to hype the kid but I do not want to count him out this early part of his career. He looks very promising because he is a mobile tall kid.The trainers and his dad can work from that.

How about Jun Gabriel 6'7" of colegio de san lorenzo of NAASCU and UCBL, A double-double player. He might not be the future bigs of PHI. Maybe a quality player for PBA. he's already 23 y/o i guess

i just hope that he'll get an inch or two taller, maybe good enough for the power forward position.

There is also Joshua Calizo , said to be 6-9 based from news clips and a certain Hopia from Cebu Collegiate league, said to be 17 yo and standing 6-8 as mentioned by color commentators of CESAFE.

Just noticed Aaron Fermin 6'5" 16?yrs old just won Rookie & Defensive Player of the Year for NCAA Jrs.
Has anyone seen him play?

"Big man Aaron Fermin capped off an impressive debut season where he averaged 10.9 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 1.9 blocks by being recognized as the Rookie of the Year.
Not only that, ranking first in blocks and third in rebounds also earned him Defensive Player of the Year honors."

IN so short a time, a young Aaron Fermin has become one of the key players for Arellano's juniuor team, which is off to a perfect start in the NCAA Season 92 juniors basketball.

But unknown to many, Fermin won't be with the Braves without the intervention of the late Gilbert Bulawan.

Bulawan recently passed away due to a heart condition, but his memories will remain with Arellano head coach Tylon Darjuan, who revealed it was the former Blackwater player who recommended the 6-foot-5 Fermin to the team.

“Binigay niya (Bulawan) sa akin, na may kilala siya taga-Nueva Ecija. Ayun, pinuntahan naman namin,” said Darjuan of the fateful trip to the remote town of Licab, Nueva Ecija where Fermin lived.

“Galing ‘yun sa liblib na lugar. Six hours ang biyahe,” recalled Darjuan.

The long trip to Licab, it turned out, was worth it. After spending a year in residency, Fermin finally broke into the Braves lineup where he averaged 11 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 1.6 blocks entering their match against San Beda on Monday.

Against the Red Cubs, Fermin continued to impress with 11 points, 13 rebounds, and seven blocks. With the Braves leading by two, 92-90, late in the game, Fermin swatted away a potential game-tying basket by Sam Abu Hijle to clinch the victory.

“Anak nga ata ng engkanto eh,” joked Darjuan.

Turning serious, Darjuan said he will always be grateful for the help of the late San Sebastian star and Blackwater big man which he calls a parting gift.

hopefully a younger, better version of Mac Belo.I hope he learns to play the wing position and shoot threes. If he's 16 years old, I hope he a grows a bit more to 6'6-6'7

Joshua Dela Cruz 6'7 and only 15 years old from Pampanga via Pinedas stable will play for NU BULLPUPS together with Rivera and Dela Pena from Pampanga too.

Isaac Go is shaping up to be a decent big man. If he improves more his handles, speed and shooting he has the potential to be a PF. At 6'8", it's a big improvement from our 6'4-6'5 PF. Go, together with Carino and Laput would be the next batch of cadet frontliners.

any latest updates of height increments of sotto, lepalam. umpad, pangalangan, kirkness, tamayo, amsali, mahinay, et al? 2017 coming in in just a few weeks. some may have grown a couple of inches. TY!

I watched last night the the two matches on PSSBA and saw lepalam of LSGH and tamayo of ADU, both soft and not yet aggressive but Hindi naman nahihiyang tumira

nice info, based from boxscores of their uaap and ncaa leagues respectively, at least they have decent offensive mentality. i see both as more of defensive anchors. for me both are shoo-ins in 2017 Batang Gilas U16. If NU allows, Amsali would be the main man of the bigs, either SF or PF. Any prospects for Pg's and SG's? esp. from non Uaap or Ncaa schools.
