Kai Soto will play against the Housemate of kuya

Showed good footwork and handles the ball pretty well lol but is he ambidextrous? He finishes his dunks with his right and also grabs rebounds with his right although shoots with his left.

Off topic, just want to share it, I work in the local government of Manila, I remember, 5 or 6 years ago, my old office mate introduced a retired employee based on manila sports council and part trainor of San Sebastian basketball team, he shared the story of one of the most dominating big man in the history of ncaa, one time they conducting a open tryout and they noticed a towering but not look lanky young man in the crowd, later he participated in the scrimmage, the coaching staff is so impressed because he dominate the paint with effort less, after the scrimmage, the young man ask for something, in broken Tagalog, "manong, Ito po ba ung San beda? The staff reply " San beda? Ah oo, ito nga ung San beda, after few months, Rommel Adducul and San Sebastian dominate the NCAA and championship run for 5 years

I heard about this another version. It was Kerby Raymundo who is planning to try out in Beda, but the security guard didn't let him enter their campus because he's wearing a barong, and a filipino sombrero. That's why he went to Letran, and the rest was history.

Not true, I know Kerby's family from Bataan, Letran discovered him while playing for Region 3 in the 1994 Palarong Pambansa.

The story you just narrated is in fact the Adducul urban legend where he was supposedly shooed away by Beda security guards when he inquired if their team held tryouts. No one has ever confirmed this story although it may be probable since during his first few months in Manila Adducul and his HS teammate in Tuegegarao Careng (can't remember his first name) stayed with Adducul's uncle at the PSG Quarters in Malacanang which as we all know is near Beda.

Careng himself got to play college ball in Manila with NU albeit during the pre-SM days of the Bulldogs.

Adducul didn't have the proper identification when the guards asked from him. So he went to next campus he knew which was San Sebastian. This was written all over the print media back then. Adducul confirmed this himself in one of those articles.

It seems that Abu Tratter has been left out in the discussion of the future big men for the Philippines. Seems a legit 6'5-ish with strong upper body. He may be ineligible but I think he and Perkins can wreck havoc in the PBA. Any thoughts guys?

Russel Escoto 6'6"
Arnold Van Opstal 6'6"
Those two are from Gilas 5.0..

AVO is not the Future of Phil basketball and after watching him play last FIBA Asia Challenge Cup, he is barely even in the present.

AVO is not a center. He is a powerforward. In the past, i look at him as the next Marc Pingris. To bad he is force to be center because we don't have a naturalize center in the challenge cup.

Guys watch Kai in latest action here -> https://youtu.be/cOn2ernlfO4?t=7m18s

What are your thoughts?

the boy can improve. he needs to improve on his stamina and the skills will come. His career depends on his hard work on and off the court. He needs to train with a skills coach while he also needs to improve his physique by hiring a physical trainer.I think he has very good teammates, there is no way but up if he continues to work.

It's nice to see Ethan big improvement.

He now knows how to use his big body and bullies his opponent.

Next to improve his leaping ability and dunking the ball.

And our future center Kai and Ethan are both left hand.

and lefties are hard to defend..
