As far as French NT is concerned,Ajinca is a legit absence but as long as their Big 4 is ready to roll and in good condition they will be ok.Parker-Batum-Diaw-Gobert is just leaps and bounds better than any other teams' Big-4.

Without any disrespect to French, I have a feeling they're just slightly overrated. Most of the folks expect them to grab gold, but I think that ain't gonna happen. We'll see...

I agree with you that there is a legit chance they don't win it all,we're talking about single games after all,so literally anything can happen.Let's say that something goes wrong with Spain or Serbia in Group stage and they end up advancing as 4th,so they play France in the next round.You have to be sick in the head to not admit that there is a legit chance of an upset right there.And we're talking about just the next round,not even talking about the medal games.
A great shooting night for the opponent or foul trouble for a key player(let's say Gobert for example) and you don't really need anything more than that.

As for the overrated part,I couldn't disagree more.Too much talent,just great collection of players.

So much disinformation for Heurtel's situation. Heurtel rejected to join the NT because he doesn't feel ready for this long and tough journey. Of course there is something truth lies behind this decision which is that Heurtel thought he was treated unfairly since he is lock for NT, therefore he rejected to join the team this time. Those news about Efes' pressure is wrong. A European club can't force the player to not join his NT.
