Anybody know French?
What Parker said there?
I've seen this in another forum, and according to the guy who posted this link, he told smart things including self-criticism, which give hope that he'll involve more his teammates today.
He says that a 2 points win or a 4 points loss is almost the same and the more important is that the second match is at home. We need to make a big match like them at home.
For 2 days, the players are angry and vexed and we need to transform that in positive energy.
He thinks the french players inside have made a great job defensively but him and the other guy on the wings have to play much better defense.
Then he reponds to all the critics against him in the french press that he was playing alone and they have lost because of him. He says he won't change his playing style. He says that the journalists always try to find something to justify defeat but he thinks he has made the same match than against Italy when they win by 20 points.
That's clear he can try to involve a bit more his partners in the beginning
that's clear but he won't wait that Boris moves his ass
that's clear. But he can help his partners to enter in the match
that's clear and that's a part of his point guard duty,
that's clear. He can show more patience in the first quarter.
(I'm just mocking a little bit a tic of Tony Parker

)
Then he says he wasn't completly aware that his partners were not in the game because he was playing great, so even the others were giving him the ball all the time. He thinks that's his role to give easy basket to Boris and Nicolas to help them find their rythm. During the first quarter only him and Turiaf have the ball in their hands, so that's not easy for others to enter in the game. And we absolutly need Nicolas and Boris to win.
He says Florent Pietrus is the best defender they have and they need him without early fouls. Tony will put the pressure on his partners to make them take their responsabilities. He says Belgium is a good team and if other french guys don't take their responsabilities, that's finish but he has no doubt they will make a great match.
That's a quick and poor translation, sorry.

to Florent Pietrus who has said something like this : "Except if we turn off the lights, there is no way they will come close to us."
Go Belgium. I'm mad at the way french players (except Parker) and french press treat Belgium as if we are Andorra or Feroe Islands and I hope we will give them a good lesson. Hey, let us dream again a few hours.

If they lose that's only because of their legendary arrogance and disdain.
