Is it true his pay is more from ensdorsements now?

Technically true since b league doesn’t pay players in the off season.

he was getting 70k per month before bonuses in the b league.

but that was 9 months of the year only.

Thidry is going to dubai since they can play in europe.

Dubai money is crazy. Imagine being irrelevant in the FIBA but gets your local team to be in a top-tier league.

Thirdy just making the right decisions one after the other.

Kid is not contented on simply being a trailblazer for other Pinoy ballers, he keeps on opening new doors and opportunities for the younger guys.

For context though, Thirdy did not get recruit by a
European team but an Asian team who will play in an European Tournament. Fans are getting mislead and hype. They think Thirdy is getting recruited in the Europe because his team will play in Euroleague.

There is a difference in getting recognized by a legit european team and an asian team who will play in european tournament.

I do hope he will do better because that will pave the way for scouts to take a look at filipino talents.

either way he gets to play against higher-level competition. hopefully he doesn't get benched too much. iirc juan gdl was mostly a benchwarmer in the lithuanian league. thirdy should see similar-level competition in the balkan league that his dubai team is playing at

They literal payed there way into the eurocup. I wonder how much that cost.

Then they gotta ball out otherwise they'll get blown tf out possibly with Thirdy at the end of the bench behind legit Adriatic League players because Emiratis know Filipinos will pay anything to watch a fellow Pinoy. If they get relegated right away, I don't see Thirdy staying long. As for the EuroCup, it's a longshot but much higher competition than the EASL/BCL Asia for sure.

*edit
It's got Jayson Castro NBL Singapore Slingers vibes... but we never saw that with the Slingers losing money to travel costs and ended up in the ABL then Castro decided to go apply for the PBA draft instead. I do think this is Thirdy's last stop before going to the PBA. It's just a matter of how long he's gonna last in this league.

Knowing thirdy he isn’t gonna shy away from a challenge and take a paycut.

Hes getting paid

He is getting paid paid for sure. Now Thirdy's part of BLeague's growth in East Asia and Euroleague's expansion to Dubai.

This is where Thirdy comes in. Theoretically, if Dubai can't get the local populace to watch (due to lack of interest), then bring in a skilled Filipino player to hopefully attract Pinoy OFW's to watch their games.

The guy just won the Most Outstanding Asian Player award in the B-League. I'm sure he'll have no problem getting a spot in a B-League team if BC Dubai doesn't pan out.

When Thirdy entertained the idea of going abroad years ago, the goal for him was to be available for FIBA competitions while developing his game... that was before the SEA Games Silver and he hasn't been called up since. With Cone and this SBP, it's clear that just like Abando and a host of others, they're not on the same boat as a Dwight, Kai, Edu or even Carl and KQ for that matter if they end up abroad. Does he have a legit shot of making a Gilas squad? Probably not. Do things change if he's in the PBA? Depends where he ends up. If this deal with BC Dubai pushes through, it still won't change the fact that he's not preferred for international competition despite being the most exposed to it.
