Korea might be a better fit for his game.

Or a weak Div 1 BL team where he can play SF or SG.

How is his perimeter defense? That might determine if he'll be recruited by KBL? He's probably too small for PF there.

Average at best. He needs to improve this aspect of his game.

KQ’s mom is based in Japan. If he’s going overseas, it would most likely be there.

For the KBL I think he’s not a bad size for pf he seems 6’5-6’6 which is big in the KBL

93-78 win by Ulsan Mobis Phoebus over Anyang

Rhenz Abando 17 pts 7 rebounds

Carl stays in Japan for this game, a. Not selected for tonight's game with MERALCO.

ryukyu going 11 man..Even if youre a blind b league fan and pba hater..I doubt that you will ignore this..

Yeah, that has to be a concern. Going 11 men in a tournament with just 2 imports allowed. Concerning considering that Carl got opportunity early in the B.League season, and Ryukyu were winning, and then he was losing them as the games went by. I really hope he doesn't go to the doghouse next year, in the last year of his contract. That might motivate him to improve.

The reason why I preferred players going overseas is because I'm not sure if the PBA will adjust to FIBA tournament schedule, make guys available for Gilas, especially considering how they "adjusted" in the 2017 Asia Cup, 2018 Asian Games, 2019 World Cup, and 2022 Asia Cup. But this will discourage local bigs from going to Japan and staying beyond their contract.

I agree if only PBA were able to adjust their schedule. If not hope some will go to KBL for better opportunities. To be fair, Ildefonso team is prioritizing young Korean local than him.

Filipino bigmen should know now where is their ideal place to play. Not in the B.League because they will compete against world imports for minutes. Unless you are AJ Edu, KBL is the more ideal place for the likes of Carl Tamayo, Justin Baltazar, Kevin Quiambao and even Kai Sotto.

Kamaka Hepa if he ends up in the pba has a career route very similar to Standhardinger.

Both play in a youth national team, USA and Germany. Went initially to a different D1 school before eventually transferring to Univ of Hawaii. Go undrafted in the nba. Then go to a European league after college, Germany and Poland.

Abando at 6'2 plays SF in KBL even tho his coach said he will switch him to SG this season.

I think Abando benefits from the lesser physicality and relatively smaller size in KBL compared to higher level Fiba. I don't remember him getting many opportunities for his highlight dunk/blocks in Fiba. Nor was he consistently making his outside shot. For me maybe there was a game or two that I could say he played decently but overall I think he is still a work in progress at that level. I would say, CJ and Bollick were more impressive during their own Fiba debut. But maybe it's a product of having a center NP attracting the gravity. Great as JC is I think Blatche was better at attracting the attention of opposing teams.

cabagnot to KBL, def good enough to play, but I hope he doesnt abandon his coaching / fil am scouting stuff.
