watched bolick's pre-season game against a B1 team. he came off the bench and mostly played off-ball in a 3-guard lineup but clearly established he was the best guard in his team. let's see if their coach will give him free reign on offense later in the season

Lets hope so. IMO Bollick >> Kiefer. Bollicks game should translate ro B League.

Both GDL and Bolicks team used 3 guard rotation. They were either 2 or 3 guy. Not the main PG.

It look like Jong Uichico Ginebra days.

Playing like a 4th world import for Toyama? That's great if he indeed played like one.

Being an Asian import actually is good for him. He has less responsibilities and can play off the bench. As with Gilas though, Edu seems to be lifting the defensive floor of this team. This alone will give them closer games and probably more wins.

Gemao going stateside

The high-flying 6-foot guard began the process of transferring to another school on Tuesday afternoon, starting with his departure from Letran High School, according to multiple sources closely monitoring the situation.

Tiebreaker Times’ sources added that Gemao is set to try out at Veritas Academy National Prep, a Nike Elite high school located in Malibu, California

I like this kid’s guts. No assurances and yet he gave it a go. I hope he succeeds. And even if the try out fails, i hope there are other options readily available for him there.

Ange Koume re-twitted this, with caption "Dream big"

@EuroLeague

Probably nothing, but wouldnt it be nice if Ange plays big time basketball in a big club (Euro League club). Dream big indeed.

Supposedly, the reason why he almost didnt make it to Gilas practices was because he was working things out with a euro club. So this might actually be a thing for him

Another Letran Squire will be US NCAA Div 1 bound, Jonathan Manalili. as reported in IG .. No details or confirmation yet. Dude averaged 13 ppg and almost 6 apg last season

What's his height? based on highlights seems like an undersized wing and his athleticism and skills don't really make up for it

Isn't he the PG while Gemao is the SG? Both of them appear to be at the same height.

In Twitter, Gemao is self-aware that he doesnt pass the ball tha much, and has tweets where he said, "you're not getting the ball tonight" lol.

Also, he was teased that in the States, the school will teach him how to become a pass-first point guard.

D1 has very strict rules about when coaches can meet/communicate with recruits. It's a very limited period.

D2 and lower doesn't have.

I have a feeling, he will be trying out for something like a manager/sponsor, club team or prep team. There could be interest from a college team, but they don't really have to see him now. They'd rather watch him play in a US tournament which the top ones will occur again next summer. Unless he joins a US high school/prep school (but only the top programs will get coaches eyeballs).

I like Manalili's game, he was the one that kept hitting the big shots against LSGH in their finals, yes he can play pg. He kept making layups against the twin towers.
