10 days isn't even that long. Here in Australia it's 14 days mandatory.

Yes. Kaya some imports spend 14 days of quarantine before they're allowed to play.. and the reason out is the 10 days kai will miss in his training? That some kind of thinking by EWP.

SBP and tab set the guideline long time ago.. it's ewp who said kai will play for gilas for ACQ and OQT And asia cup and all of the sudden they said "no?" And they reason out the 10 day quarantine? If that's the reason then they should've let kai go earlier and establish chemistry and practice with the team early.

If Kai would be subjected to a 14-day quarantine upon his arrival in the Philippines, Kai should have left the US during the 2nd week of May. That would give Kai about 3 weeks of training with Gilas prior to the 3rd window.

Here's my point, the extra 7 to 10 days that Kai would be spending in the US won't be as valuable as the extra 7 to 10 days that Kai would be spending with Gilas if he arrives earlier in the Philippines.

Damn it! Imbes na yung focus nalang sana ng team is on how to beat Korea & Indonesia, po problemahin pa nila kung kailan dadating yung isang key player nila.

I would be against Kai going back to the Philippines if the Gilas schedule conflicts with another tournament like what happened with the Ignite stint. The problem now is.... wala naman tournament na sasalihan as far as we know si Kai. He is just doing training drills and scrimmages. Why is there such difficulty with the schedule now compared to February na may conflict pa? Calambuble has been going on for almost a month now. There's no way hindi alam ng handler yan ng schedule for Gilas. Especially after the statement of Kai joining Asia Cup Qualifiers and OQT last month.

Kai has been playing against ex pros, nba prospect and continually training other things. The gilas games would still be better and I would be frustrated if Kai wont play any games till august. If he wont play, then most likely their preserving Kai for NBL. There is more to Kai's life than his gilas stint. It is a collective family undertaking not just the same with any other player who could go on their own.

You dont always have to push your opinion. You also need to check the reasons of Kai's camp to have better grasp of things. It is not just always about basketball same thing with why they didnt grab the EU offers. Family was always a big factor for them.

Kai is already playing against ex NBA pros in Miami. The difference those were just scrimmages and not actual games. He is also continuously training other things.

Gilas games would be better still but FOR SURE THERE ARE TONS OF FACTOR THAT THEY CONSIDER not just playing. If kai wont play any games till August then that would be alarming, the only reason if they wont play Kai would be that their preserving him for NBL.

THat is why I said, Kai spending 7 to 10 days longer in the US won't be as valuable as Kai coming earlier in the Philippines hence having about 7 to 10 days extra training with Gilas.

As a gilas fan, i dont mind if kai will not play in the following tournaments. We’ll make do with our bigs. But as a Kai Sotto fan, im disappointed. He and his camp gave their word. Tapos may kondisyon pala.

I am one of the most ardent gilas supporters here. My interest lessen after the Gilas brawl that I watched live.lol It didnt help that we dont send our main players always. I see Kai as phil's best hope and a uniting factor if he makes it big.

I trust EWP and Ervin with their decisions with Kai. Kai has conquered heights way more than any Phil bball player. His journey is a marathon and not a sprint. Im just here to offer my unwavering support. I also get frustrated but my support doesnt change.

I fully agree with PeeZones.

If the SBP aren't willing to shoulder a private jet to transport Kai and his family and pay the EWP a large wad of cash (possibly in the hundreds of thousands of $$$) for bringing Kai to the USA to train with mysterious unknown pros, then he should forgo his Gilas stint for now.

Tab should adjust even if Kai receives clearance on the day of the tournament. He should be inserted into the roster much like how Yeng adjusted to Jordan Clarkson. Lest you forget - and I'm in the same mind as PeeZones, Mathematician, Astigram, and the others who are better analysts than Givony and are more credible scouts than those employed by NBA teams solely because they have first-hand experience with playing street pick-up games - that Kai is more impactful than Jordan Clarkson. This is because, as PeeZones, Astigram, and Mathematician would concur, that Kai is better than Hakeem, Duncan, Wilkins, Kristaps, and Kareem as of today. I mean, naka dunk ba mga yan between the legs at 19 y/o?

Plus, he will even be a bigger star than Beyonce in a couple of months!

really fucked up ewp. as if those miami training is sooooo indespensible. for all i know, ewp were already informed about the resumption of training last mid april and in fact tab says he only awaits kai and dwight. now, this begs the question, if those miami trainings cannot be cancelled as ewp says, does his nbl team wants kai to do those training in miami? because it is on my thought that his nbl has his full interest especially in his training.

Ignoring the fact that Kai was able to travel to the PH during March, thisis why I'm wholeheartedly supporting your suggestion earlier that MVP should shoulder Kai and his entire family's transportation to and from the PH by sponsoring a chartered private jet. I would happily chip in, and you, being someone who loves Kai (platonically, I hope) could do the same. Maybe we can start a gofundme page. Taralets? Toinks pumunta din si kai last feb. He has just more things to consider these days. Kasi his family in the us, both he and erwin would be stuck here till august, tight schedule and also his rumored to go australia prior to going to phil.
