It's either CJ has to be fired or Kai Sotto seek for another team who will give him the keys and guaranteed at least 25 minutes per game. GLeague, Euroleague or whatever shit
go home in the Philippines if he wants guaranteed mins. i agree he find a team who might give him more mins. but if you want it guaranteed, Pinas na.

Kai Sotto is gaining lots of interest according to one youtuber and already received multiple teams offering him guaranteed at least 25 minutes per game lol

and sorry to say it's not the PBA haha

you said seek. if he already received offers than correct term is accept. finish his adelaide contract and accept one of the offers.

This is the big picture issue (for Gilas sake ), assuming our NP is Clarkson (which is a lock) and not a center like Kouame.
Our legit 2 bigs are limited to Kai and AJ , who are averaging like 10 min and 5 min respectively. Which begs the question how do we rely on them to play like 20 plus minutes in the World Cup.
Unless someone is suggesting an undersize Tamayo or aging Jap or Junmar have to be relied on for heavy minutes..
This does not bold well at all..

People may be asking why is this being discussed in Kai thread , well for those who really know the situation of who decides Kai's path (makes decision for him), they will fully appreciate why it's in a Kai thread.. the lack of awareness of some is a reflection of their lack of understanding of the true situation and implications

Agree, move on go to a team that will guarantee his playing time. He is no longer young. At 20 he should be a major contributor already if he targets the next step. His current team doesn't allow him to grow and neither looks like prioritizing to win. Well its a pro league, cant blame the team if they are only after income and not winning.

IMO if he decides to move he should go to league that is on a level similar to the NBL or higher. What's the point of playing against less talented and possibly shorter players?

^^
True , once undrafted age becomes quite irrelevant , especially for a 3 year pro. (All these young teenage Euro pros remember got drafted)_ you cannot compare a 20 year old Giannis with Kai , (for one Giannis was drafted, 2nd while his stats as a 19 or 20 yr old are not impressive they are alot better as compared to when Giannis was 17 or 18 years old (rapid trajectory is the biggest determinant of upside). E.g a 19 year old Ousmane Dieng is totally different player compared to a year ago .
The trajectory I'm referring to is the expectations are getting better and better after each passing year , e.g. once considered a 2nd round pick has become a lottery pick in 1 year. Not the reverse where once envisioned to be a 2nd round mock pick is now a potential 10 day contract guy..
Comparing a 20 year old Kai with a 20 year old Landale is irrelevant as they have totally different growth pathways ..obviously Landale was not a promising 20 year at all. No where near the promise of a 20 year old Tacko Fall. (Kai is following the trajectory of Fall, only that Tacko had benefit of 4 years of college to enter the draft at 22 yr old ..and as such was picked up on a two way contract on his draft year (due to potential).
After one's draft year has passed , there is no angle for a free agent pick up based on potential.
NBA teams would rather that a foreign team do the developing, and just sign a finish ready product.

True, imo that's actually why Kai is still raw in some aspects of his game, playing against smaller players in his Ateneo days didn't help in molding his basic Big man skills, he simply was to tall for everyone, then on TSF, he was the poster boy - he was made to look good in the expense of development.. The only time Kai got a dose of reality was when he was on G league Ignite and now in the NBL. If he goes back to lower level leagues, he'll again put up amazing stats putting a good illusion for the peenoise fans.. it will be another dose of Expectation vs Reality

Timestamp 3:01 all these interest by a lot of teams worldwide are all illusion or the negatrons perception are the only illusion all along. When their expectations were too unrealistic for a 20 yr old boy.lol try to pause and read the transcript of the interview so you would at least have a sense of reality and not peddling your own opinions.lol

Here is another vid as to the interest by NBA teams who keeps tabs on Kai. Timestamp 1min onwards are these teams really stupid or they just see Kai as a high potential player but still needs to mature.

If Landale was not a promising 20 yr old, then how are you certain that Kai will be a dud at age 25?lol Kai's issue is only with strength and maturity. He will obviously get stronger as he ages and that is a certainty.

Everyone is frustrated on small ball CJ now including these aussies lol - https://www.hoops.com.au/forum/50670-sem-v-adelaide/

I haven't seen any of my suspected "Pinoy" accounts in that thread. Funnily enough the thread consensus share some of IBN's opinions, like small ball not working and Adelaide being bad on defense. Completely the opposite from what I've heard in this thread and in the NBL thread where apparently small ball is the way to go and Kai is the only weak link in defense.

I even see one acc saying to let Sotto play through his mistakes, something that a lot of people here in IBN disagreed with. Glad one Aussie agrees with me on that part.

Having read the forum, its obvious that they don't consider Kai an important piece of the team. At least not as a serious rotation player. This goes to show that Kai is not making the necessary impact when he is in the floor.

That's completely fine, so as long as they're in consensus that Kai should be played over that other big man.

Yup lol

I've been a lurker and silent reader for a long time now on that thread. They are discussing topics based on every games of Adelaide and anything related to the NBL games.

And my overall conclusion is that they don't like CJ haha. They want him gone ASAP. Also, they wanted Kai Sotto over DJ. They also like Galloway and Marshall.

Some account say Mitch should play 3 spot and not PG haha. But definitely majority doesn't like small ball coaching style of CJ and want him gone for good. Some asked for

3rd import replacement of Randall. While mostly are satisfied with Franks and Cleveland.

So overall if that Aussie forum will be heard by the Adelaide's owner the structure should be, fiirst five: Kai, Franks, Cleveland, 3rd import, Mitch/Dremic

Off the bench: Galloway, Marshall, Sunday, Mitch/Dremic, DJ/Harris

Harris should play 3 spot and not as a big(4 or 5 spot)

Then a proven winning coach will handle the team and make the right decision on player rotation etc haha.

I feel like everyone is already seeing what I've been seeing for a very long time now haha

In my observation Celtics needs an elite back up big haha.

They lost the past two games where Horford was not playing and when Blake Griffin is their starting center and Grant Williams off the bench even though

Tatum and Brown played during those games lol

What does Jose Alvarado have that none of our players have?

How good are bad NBA players?

XTREMELY good. I mean, like, amazing.
At our local LA Fitness, we are the “home gym” for a few NBA players during the off-season. Amare Stoudamire came in a couple times, and Mike Bibby was a semi-regular.
But, let’s talk about this guy.
Negele Knight. Unless you lived in Phoenix during the Tom Chambers-Kevin Johnson-Dan Majerle era, you have no clue who I’m talking about, which makes sense, because, in NBA terms…he wasn’t that good. He bounced around the league a bit and was never anything more than a backup point guard who played about 8 minutes a game.
At our gym, full of ex-college players (I wasn’t even getting on the floor with these guys…this Quoran was never even high school quality), Negele would run circles around everybody. At 6′1″, he would easily outrebound the 6′6″ guys. He made the small, quick guards look slow and stupid. He shot from several feet outside the 3-pt line.
And you know what? He wasn’t even trying.
I once saw him come in with a bag of McDonald’s, devour a Big Mac, a Filet-o-Fish, a large fries, and a big ass Coke, then go out and humiliate people.
You want to know how good the worst NBA player is? Go into the stadium early and watch warmups. Watch the center that hasn’t played a minute all year stand at the 3-pt line and can shot after shot. Watch the 6′1″ guard jump high enough so his head clears the rim. Watch how effortlessly they make jump shot after jump shot, sometimes while talking to the person next to them, without even looking at the rim.
These guys are INSANELY good.
(which really makes the fat dude in the stands shouting “You suck!” look pretty bad….)

This has been a very accurate video regarding Kai's journey. In the end, all his sacrifices will not be for naught, Kai at 20 has still a lot of options ahead of him. He only needs to continue to grind and wait for his opportunities.

Mario West was statistically one of the worst players ever in the NBA was unstoppable in the PBA. Barea made mince meat of our locals. Even absolute scrubs like Haddadi ruled over Asia and still serviceable today. We've seen what a former bench player like TJones, Balkman etc can do. Even our own Blatche who was out of shape most of the time was wreaking NTs. You have to be one of the best ballers ever to play in the NBA.

there's a paul lee interview on how he was overwhelmed by JJ Barea's skills, including his strenght, during their 2014 encounter. And 2014 JJ is already past his prime!
