As long as Kai would get passes, he would get his points. I am more concern with how he will defend in the NBL. He will go against guys way older than him. I havent followed NBL and i havent seen someone like Greece's Schorsanitis. Hopefully, it would just be clean physicality and i think most NBL bigs were built like Prosper. I think Kai's current body can compete with a Prosper like big.

I dont expect Kai to dominate and im just hoping for a decent stint. RJ hampton like stats and impact would be ideal

I'm hoping Kai matured enough now and learned how to deal with big and physical centers down below while he trains in the US. Remember he got bullied and dominated by the physically developed Oumar Ballo at the 2019 World Cup against Mali. Kai was one of the youngest in the tournament back then. Only 17. Let's see how much 2 years of US training he improved.

I dont think the coach would task Kai to defend the really burly bigs. I think kai would be playing alternately as PF and C depending on opponents.

Kai is way bigger now but I would think he would have difficulties with really big ones. It is expected as a 19 yr old.

Almost same size as JF, Iverson was measured 6'10.5 w/o shoes around 265lbs, how i wish JF can move this quick though (2012 Fajardo version probably)

The Petron Blaze version of Fajardo was pretty mobile, and really athletic too. Bulking up to dominate at the paint earned him and SMB all the accolades they could handle. It was detrimental to Fajardo being a well rounded, modern day player that is fit for international play. But of course it doesn’t matter because it wasn’t the primary goal anyway.

Current 20/21 + potential local add ons next season 21/22 (can play 5 position - center)

36ers Johnson, Humphries, pinder + Sotto
Breakers iverson, Loe, Galloway + Fotu rumour
Taipans Oliver, Jawai, jois, deng
United landale, acuil, Barlow, Peatling
Hawks Froling, ogilvy, Bairstow + Mathiang rumour
Phoenix, Wetzell, Moore, Pineau + Waardenburg rumour
Kings Martin, Hunter, kickert, Cooks
Bullets Hodgson, Froling, Harrison + Motum rumour
Wildcats Mooney, majok, Wagstaff + Magnay rumour
Jackjumpers/other + Kay, Reath, salt, timmins, okwera rumours

Trades, imports also factor.

Obviously

Kai will play Center if he is in the floor with Daniel Johnson. While Kai will play PF if he is in the floor with Humphries.

Kai was a PF in Ateneo and TSF (Geo and Wilmore are Centers).

I really think Kai's skillset is a Mobile PF. But ofc his 7'3 height allows him to play C.

Adelaide scorers are their bigs. So, their plays maybe are most for bigs.

Not really expecting Kai to doninated and have most touches. But I hope He will not have 3-5 attempts only like when he was scrimmaging with ignite

He will get his touches. In the end, the goal for adelaide is to win so they would pass it to Kai on scoring positions. Kai doesnt depend on strength to score. I think he will have his points and a few breakout games would really help his confidence. At least it would be a long season, he would have plenty of time to assimilate and adjust.

oh he will. coach henry will put kai on those burly bigs.. this will get kai used to defend and play against burly centers..

If only Kai was able to play with Giddey(who passes more)

Anyway, Yeah. I hope so. 3-5 breakout games will put scouts in notice. Even if he is mediocre in the other games

If another team will be addednext season,

there will be 30 games ( 15 home and 15 away?)

Is that right Silent Killer? Or it will stay at 28, games???

Anyway, that is a lot of games

i think it stays the same with the addition of tasmania team..

if remy martin go undrafted and cut by that nba team, adelaide can tap his services..

lol these comments remind of the "kai will play pf alongside amir johnson" posts last nov 2020 ... we all know how that ended

kai was signed for the sole purpose of selling jerseys to gullible pinoys

I'm confident that once we see the Sky Hook back in action, nobody in the upcoming FIBA games or the NBL will be able to block it. That's my fearless prediction.

Pero blocks lang. It remains to be seen if Kai can be consistent with it, haha.
