JC would be defended by Makoto Hiejama or Yuda Baba agaisnt Japan.

JC will eat them both. JC is an elite scorer even in the highest level of basketball. I dont think they can guard him even if both will have endless energy. Their too small for JC.

Givony posted this a week ago, it's something I'm fine that Kai skips. But it'll do well to see how many of the names here will be on an NBA roster next year.

Two more podcasts talking about Kai.

Looks like they're also underestimating Kai a bit, treating him as being only there for promotional purposes, but it's fine. All this attention is welcome for our boy, and I can't wait to see him play later on this year.

but having an asian "import" is really meant more for promotion and branding purposes. But they bring the quality ones (i.e. got some skills or potential), so not really a bad thing.

that being said, i trust kai will be able to show his skills (if not sooner, then later).

Is Bogut still angry at the Philippines? hahaha

Haha, but in all actuality it's not Bogut who has an opinion on Kai, but his fellow podcaster. Apparently he's worked with Kai in the past for a couple of months, and he observed that Kai was slow and lacking in strength. I don't remember where, but it's some type of NBA camp. Also, he said Kai looks good at workouts but is never 100% during games. Maybe this was BWB? Where it was every man for himself?

Can you give the timestamps of the portions that they talked about kai? The podcast were too long.haha Im not interested listening to their other topics.

Bogut himself was not the fastest center.lol I think Kai was faster and more athletic than him even in his prime. It is just that Kai has stamina issues and if Kai is tired he would really look slow and lethargic.hehe If he had seen kai, when he was tired then he will say that.haha Also, Kai isn't use to imposing himself specially when he is new to a team. He would just go with the flow and wont really always demand the ball. It was evident when he played with BG and TSF. It was only in the long run that all had recognize him as their main player.

He said Nike asia competition. 59minutes onwards. His comment was valid. He appreciate Kai's skills and concerns were valid.

Called him athletic, skilled. Looks good in practices and also depending on the competition. Has concerns with foot speed and physical strength as well as toughness. Called him a mo bamba type

First time I heard that comparison. Bamba was projected as a good shot blocker who can shoot 3s before entering the NBA.

I think his comments were based on a pre-TSF kai. I think the concerns werent hopeless. The Kai looking good on practices were I think because during actual competition the players will tend to out do each other. Others would ballhog while during practices they tend to share the ball similar to what happened during Kai's BWB stint. Also, kai isnt the type who imposes on new teammates and would rarely ask for the ball. That is the areas that his trainers were addressing and also improving his aggressiveness these days.

I dont like the Mo Bamba comparison.lol I like the athletic and skilled comment.

I agree with the guest, Kai probably won’t make much impact his first year which is why it’s good he’ll probably be developed with the team long term then get a buy out from an nba team.

here we go again with all the daydreaming, so now nbl > nba gleague jejejeje andrew kickert is waiting

As long as Kai would get passes, he would get his points. I am more concern with how he will defend in the NBL. He will go against guys way older than him. I havent followed NBL and i havent seen someone like Greece's Schorsanitis. Hopefully, it would just be clean physicality and i think most NBL bigs were built like Prosper. I think Kai's current body can compete with a Prosper like big.

I dont expect Kai to dominate and im just hoping for a decent stint. RJ hampton like stats and impact would be ideal
