Nobody should be embarrassed for exercising a signed contract. But if no contract thats a different case.

Thing with Navarro is, he's held hostage. He's not in the pool. He's still with SBP while the other Gilas draftees were released. Parang, he's being forced to play with his PBA team.

similar to jordan heading.. SBP got embarrassed from that heading scenario and thus denied will navarro this time..

the chairman of the fiba legal committee also works as legal counsel for SBP..

If Heading had a live contract back then he really got away with something. People should respect live contracts. Its guaranteed money for a reason.

The thing with Heading is, he was cleared. That's why he can play in Taiwan and in the B.League.

gutang, alvaro, abando.. notice their KBL clubs nor some youtube channel hasn’t show any pre season highlights from those 3?

How do you know Gutang will not play with LG Sakers. He is here for preseason. And usually KBL teams don't show their preseason match in Phil just like 2019. Unless a Korean show or the game is announced like their match against Ginebra nd that did have actual coverage.

Well he signex the contract. He can go and play for Northport

I dont even think he can do that. SBP will have to release him from his contract for him to do that at the very least. Same situation as Bullanadi/Alaska when Bullanadi was pushing to leave.

SBP should give them clearance as any federation around the world.. sadly they’re not given..

I read the FIBA rule book. Clearance rules apply to players transferring from academic institutions to international clubs. Gutang and Alvano.

If indeed SBP refused to issue FIBA letters of clearance to Gutang and Abando, I'm scared of what will happen to the likes of Quiambao, Lopez, and Tamayo

Gutang is pro already. Played in Filbasket when they went pro. If I had to guess maybe they are lacking paperwork.

never heard of gutang prior to his kbl signing. what's his game like? will he be an instant contributor for his team?

he was great on the defensive end, showing hard, hedging hard, going back and rotate on the defensive rotation fast enough, contesting and altering shots. i give kai 10 of 10 on the defensive end. while DJ i give him 1 of 10 hahaha.. As for his offense, he had 4 turnovers, i saw two position wherein he as double teamed and commit turnovers. Unfortunately he had a tough night and it seems they had a defensive plan for sotto whenever he touches the ball. while the other two turnovers were due to very hard defense on him at the top arc where he was forced to only dribble two and didn't get enough space dribble and or to pass the ball and commit travel call. The other one was offensive call after rebounding the ball. Possible a bad call by the ref..but it is what it is. They are all adjusting how the ref calls due to new implemented rules by the NBL. I give Kai 5 of 10 for his offense although he is 1 of 1 or 100% in his attempt he still committed 4 turnovers in just 14 minutes of playing time. HOW BOUT YOU? What's your opinion?

The bolded is correct. Each time Kai got the ball the defense immediately collapsed on him. That's why I said he needs to make snap decisions with the ball right away.
