Not IBN. I mean his handlers. Didn't they say they rejected all the supposed offers and would rather look after Kai's long term career? But then they made him join a minor league. I don't really see the logic in that aside from minor exposure
 
Smith League over FIBA Asia Cup. I wonder if Kai knows his handlers are screwing his career at every turn.

He could’ve played at fiba asia cup if the price is right $$$ (as per his handlers).
That’s the problem if you have handler. Agent-player set-up is still the best but it’s impossible that kai would do that hehehe.

Now that Chua is involved in SBP, ewp could get the deal (blatche salary line)
Kai is a marketing tool of EWP.
The handlers have the last say and will decide what’s the best for kai.

Yeah correct, jc’s fee is way higher as SK posted here.
SBP could offer ewp an endorsement deal (via SMC) and sign them fee that’s a little bit higher from the previous one (when kai played during the qualitand oqt)

If Kai gets signed somehow by an NBA team,the last thing they would want,is for him to be dead tired for the start of a long season.If the NBA team said no,then no amount of money SMC can offer or bribe EWP can make Kai play.

Oklahoma's Poku and Miami Heat rookie Nikola Jovic are two players not playing for their NTs. So its up to the employers discretion,indirectly lots of international players not showing up,I have a feeling behind the scenes,advise from owner,trainers,MDs have something to do with it.If the owners and union will have their say,NBA players shouldn't play at all no matter for what country,They would play longer and more durable,with lots of R&R instead.
 
Sometimes, players cant just play for their NT. Like Giannis. He was still playing in the NBA Finals while the OQT was being held. Without Giannis, Greece failed to qualify in the Olympics.

I'm also worried that Kai's new agent is not too enthusiastic,when it comes to news of Kai playing for Gilas,unlike Bell who would even exagerrate things,as long as the money is just right for Kai and Kai's team.

and that MPIC/Salim money has run dry due to the pandemic, the board and Salim probably pulled the plug on MVP's sports/side project that's why we are in this situation.

Luckily Ateneo has a lot of wealthy boosters aside from MVP, cant say the same for Beda though.
 
hmmm they paid kabayan clarkson for this 4th window that is way more expensive but they didn’t get kai for asia cup :rolleyes: EWP asking price for kai is ridiculous.. to this date and hour, we haven’t heard from EWP and the new agency about kai’s availability for 4th window..

to get Clarkson, you seem to forget insurance to Utah needs to be paid. thats beside whatever they will give JC straight. so if Gilas has a budget, how much will be left to be used for the other players? even if, lets say, local and b league boys dont have a hard number as payment for flag, there's most likely an allowance of sort from practice onwards to actual games aside from travel and lodging accommodations. i dont know if there is a fee to pay the Japan teams either, insurance? then I can see how expensive that would be. i highly doubt there is no budget per window. now question is, whatever Kai is asking, pasok pa ba sa budget? if CCR and CTC are saying winning is papogi only, why on earth would SBP waste money now??? PR damage control is not a good reason at this point in time. if they dont convincingly win against Lebanon, fans would grow even more restless and angry. not my money so I dont have say, but this is a very risky way of running a team. i wonder if the fans hatred have reached FIBA by now?
