Filipino Players in Foreign Leagues

Apparently, D'Admiral is saying that workouts are a waste of time since none of them will get drafted. For example, he said that 50 players got a workout at Atlanta (is this real?) and none of them got drafted. So players who don't workout for Atlanta will have a higher chance of getting drafted by Atlanta Hawks.

not necessarily a waste of time, those players could be signed for Atlanta's suer league team, and eventually by their g league affiliate. And if they excell they could eventually get a 2 way contract or a hardship contract.Player workouts are not necessarily for draft purposes, it could be used for signing undrafted fas as well

Are you serious? Isn't he too old at this point?

they lost earlier against Kaohsiung Aquas. Jordan Heading did not play because he creates defensive mismatch against his team. He is also in a shooting slump as well.

No one is saying anything other than workouts are not significant indicators if one is to be drafted.
There are better indicators based on historical correlation...
That's all, nothing more .. Atlanta may not necessarily even draft a center . In fact the center position is now the position with lowest % of those drafted (it's just around 10 %)

Do not confuse historical probability with opinion , if the probability #s are negative or unlikely they are what they are. No amount of positive attitude changes previous historical results

Obvoiusly, Dave doesnt run out of negative comments about Kai's NBA journey. Im looking forward to Kai being drafted and Mang Marites would say that even if he is drafted, he wouldn't take long because he doesnt really belong in NBA.

Well I'm just citing historical data, now if a player is drafted in late 50th to 58th , absolutely yes there is actually historical data as to what they're chances of making the rotation and so on..
Probability is really used, now of course there are exceptions. Just like there are few undrafted players like Ben Walace who have had great successful careers. .
Let's hope Kai is one of those Cinderella stories of a player who wasn't invited to camp or combine and not in most mocks beat the odds and get drafted..

so Heading was not used at all during the Championship game? wow. I think even in a slump, the gravity of a shooter like heading will do wonders on offense.

Anthony tucker is the one who play with heading at 1 and 2 position..

he was used during games 1 and 2. well, he was injured as well that's why he was forced to sit for the majority of game 2.

well, tito kg took heading's place as the latter was nursing an injury. sakakini was thrown out of the game for his aggressive behavior while geramipour has a head concussion as a result of the collision between him and hu long-mao. ayun, they were undersized for the majority of the second half. kupsas ate them alive in the paint.

Oh. Nbadraft, net listed kai as new addition. 100th in their rankings.

I will always believe and think that kai will be drafted. Since I am not merely focused on mocks.

but if we based it purely on mock drafts. Even though kai is rated from Late Second to undrafted, i will still give him a puncher's chance.

Go Kai. 19 days left. make history!!!

Atlanta did work out 54 (?) prospects but only 3 centers. DAdmiral is right that majority of them will not get a slot, but Atlanta only worked out 3 centers (Kofi, Kai, and a prospect with a middle eastern name who avg 18 ppg) and apparently will be getting TWO. No clue whether the latter is true or not, but it's true they only worked out 3 centers.

Seems like a good landing spot if ever. I don't think Capela will last long so would be besf for them to stock up on bigs.

Yeah. I saw it. But looks like removed for now.

Probably some editing is happening.

Kai was still 60th in that list. From 51st.

Anyway, it will be reposted anyway.

If I got a pick in the 50s or high 40s I'm drafting Kai. A lot of upsides and remaining players probably aren't that good anyway.

I don't think you need to leave if Kai gets drafted. I mean in my opinion, discourse makes threads like this more interesting. BTW, I still think Kai will be drafted late first round or early 2nd round. If Kai won't be drafted for his skill and upside, I know all the NBA teams that invited him for a workout are salivating at the thought of having a country support their team.
Yes cause I opted volunteerd to , not because I need to or I've lost a bet or anything.
Now on the other hand what if any have people who have threatened, gave false information, made false accusations have done to rectify their wrong actions? Have they retracted anything or apologized? So who are you to demand anything?

Yes my takes are consistent with mainstream consensus opinion, which after personal analysis I find their assessments as sound.

Probability supported by analysis has no prejudice to nationality. Note Maker, Lee, Zeng , Travers, Pippin Jr. are all none Filipinos, if they're stock is not in consensus mocks justified and explained by writers logically, then they are unlikely to be drafted either .. this isn't a nationality thing.

You're are right I actually don't have to leave, It's just my preference and decision, and partly the reason is what you just cited my opinions while contentious to others are part of forums, which we should be all entitled to share without being threatened or labeled as some kind of hater and accused as having a bad motive.

Notice many former members are no longer active in.IBN, why? Same reason contrary opinions are not welcomed by many , who go as far as threatening and name calling ..

It may actually suprise many that my deep desire is Kai actually gets drafted. Seriously this would be great for the Philippines, my opinions if pessimistic are independent of my deep desire. Like which Gilas fan wouldn't want them to advance to 2nd round in the world cup? Does one become a hater if they expressed pessimistic opinion that it's doubtful Gilas will get that far ?
And one suddenly is labeled as a hater and none supportive
Seriously the way people labeled me as a Kai hater or basher is no different from how Chot labels you as all Bashers and haters .

Simple logic illustration
53 workout Atlanta job applicants are applying for around 3 vacant Atlanta roster roles.

70 Combine invitees are competing for 58 draft spots and 15 free agent spots .

Which is of the 2 groups has a better chance of getting a job?

Drew Timme is projected in the late first round to early 2nd round and he withdrew from the draft. There's another one that is a projected first rounder Terquavion Smith who decided to withdraw. I suggest people watch Drew Timme's game highlights and see if he is better than Kai Sotto since both are considered bigs. I am very confident that Kai will go late first round or early second round.
I actually could not identify anyone in the withdrawal list who was registering in mocks as to be drafted , which isn't surprising, cause the general thought is if one has a chance to be drafted one should not withdraw.

Cleveland is possibly looking into getting Sotto. Here’s an article: https://www.youtube.com/redirect?ev...2-nba-draft/&stzid=UgyO5_zsy1RRrVbgO6p4AaABAg
