Tbh, i’ll just wait and see regarding kai’s chances in the NBA.
Drafted or not, the important thing is that he’ll be serviceable in Gilas.
It’s already an achievement that his part of this year’s nba draft.
Big bonus if he gets drafted or signed by nba team.

.

What is historic for a homegrown player isn't that Kai is entered into the draft (many already have been automatically eligible entered in the past )
But that Kai's name was part of list of the 33 automatically eligible players that the NBA sent to NBA teams to consider . This of course is separate from the hundreds in declare list (which no homegrown I believe has ever entered yet).

History is also to be a homegrown in ESPN top 100 about a month away from draft

Previous 10th pick Collins has done very well as back up center to Jakob , and is signed already by the Spurs. Collins is very skilled and shoots 3s well.
All explained in write up below
https://noooracademy.com/spurs-player-review-zach-collins-was-worth-the-wait/

As the article explains the Spurs need is for a switchable defensive oriented center . (This is not Kai)
In fact their 3 pt shooting center Landale may be let go

"The two offensive centers the Spurs seriously tried as backups for Jakob Poeltl simply failed to man the position adequately. San Antonio was outscored when Drew Eubanks or Jock Landale were on the floor, but lineups featuring Collins actually won their minutes,

Now I'm confused: looks like Balti is playing in the PBA after all

Really the solution should be those who exhaust college eligibility should be automatically entered, and whoever drafts players should own their rights (in the PBA), then simply wait when he is done with contracts signed outside of the Philippines

The current PBA draft rules is just stupid made a century ago.

I wouldn’t even surprise if player like tamayo would stay in ph and play for pba.
The league is stopping the college players to take their talent abroad. Lol

He can still backout before the May 15 draft. I think Delta will want him with Converge. They have the budget and they are a young team that can feature Balti more. They also can also lend him to SBP up to 2023.

There is no need to find 3 pt shooting center via the draft. There are a lot of FA 3 point shooting centers available to sign, without using a pick.. Landale who is a much better shooter compared to Kai may even be let go, and teams can find this skill set in FA

How is Walker Kessler better than Kai in all aspect?haha this is the result of non-bball personalities aka MOCK WRITERS creating a mock draft without even watching games.haha Kessler is not even close in skills, agility, athleticism and bball IQ.haha

Analyze you should have waited for EWP and Kai to make their announcements than branding them as liars. They are entitled to how they will package and how they will announce Kai's inclusion into this year's draft. You are just always maligning their actions and you get burned in the end.

Historically, EWP will always COME-UP with something good for Kai every step of the way. You always try to predict and preempt their actions in the worst possible scenarios.haha it is as if they know nothing, when all they do from the get go was rake millions and they are bound for more millions afterwards.

NBA merch store is back in the Phil just this month with a much bigger space this time.haha that is not because of any NBA player but that is obviously in time for Kai Sotto's drafting. Take your meds during draft day you would need it. :o:o:o

Also, those who were mocking Kai regarding his 3pt shooting eventually end up drinking their own saliva till this day.hehe

Kai is atleast second or third best shooting big in this year's draft. :o:o:o

Whats the agenda? Even neutral and non-homer posts pinapatulan mo.

It's just a purely a basketball take, no one is projecting to using a draft pick purely on the basis of a good 3 point shooting center . There is a reason why the better shooting big men aren't high draft prospects. If they don't meet the critical requirements (PNR coverage) teams are looking for .
Anyway this take is consistently being reflected in the following
1. Recent competed drafts
2. Mock drafts
3. And now the list of those who confirmed receiving combine invites.

The agenda is non other than correcting hype , misinformation and takes (e.g. if a center is a good 3pt shooter he will be drafted)

This is how real bball personalities see things. From the two-time NBA coach of the year himself. Kessler and the other bigs is far in terms of skills as compared to Kai except for Chet but Chet is a perimeter playing big. Kai is more complete because he could operate inside and out and really is a true legit modern big.

Analyze Kai's 3pt shooting is just one of his strengths but it is just a bonus.haha It just shows how talented Kai as a player who could do tons of things depending on the needs of each NBA team. You really need to take your Meds during draft day and extend it for months.haha That is why those mocking Kai's shooting got burned to ashes because they can't really see that Kai's shooting form and touch is so great.haha That is an innate talent.

This would not be Kai believers over Negatrons. Let us make it Corey "homicide/NBL Legend' Williams against Analyze. Corey reiterated again that Kai will be a first-rounder.

I too predict a late lottery to late first round.hahah but my opinion wont matter si Corey nalang.haha

Well we shall see in a week, there has been zero 1st round picks in last 4 years that were not invited to the NBA combine.. I can wait .

Official combine invite release next week.

Can't sugarcoat Bell's lies
1. None disclosure of not graduating in 2020 a requirement for entry into Ignite or college entry 2020 (confirmed by EWP)
2. Need to declare official entry by April 23
3 Kai can withdraw as an auto eligible ( reported by multiple outlets ( Philstar- from Bell interview )

It is what it is. Yeah they can put all blame on agent and claim no accountability..

It is so simple that we should always wait for their official announcement. Homer Sayson is not someone that is really trustworthy. Unless, we verify the contents and accuracy of Bell's statements then they should be taken as just mere rumors/unverified.

Kai and his team aren't bound to disclose everything.haha It is too arrogant to assume that they are wrong and to claim that they were lying is too accusive when all info was from Homer.

Are there NBA players who were drafted in 1st/2nd round but were not invited to NBA combine?

Are there NBA players who were drafted in 1st/2nd round but were not invited to NBA combine?

2nd round for sure , cause there only around 60 combine invites, and of course 60 draftees (two rounds), so obviously they can't get 100 % right..
But 1st round in last 4 years I doubt it

found this on reddit, not sure if legit

Among 76 invites last year, 50 players were drafted, 9 withdrew before the draft, and 17 went undrafted. About half of the undrafted saw at least a minute of NBA time last season, mostly on 2-way contracts.

-Among the 10 players who were NOT invited to last year's combine but were chosen in the draft, only 2 (Sterling Brown and Jabari Bird) were American college players. Both Brown and Bird were seniors who played in the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament.

-Total percentage of college players invited to the combine that were drafted: 67% (48/72)

-Total percentage of college players invited to the combine that withdrew: 11% (8/72)

-Total percentage of college players invited to the combine, stayed in the drafted, and were drafted: 75% (48/64)

-Total percentage of college players drafted in 2017 who were not invited to the combine: 4% (2/50)

-Non-college players invited to the combine: 4

-Non-college players drafted: 10

How about for players like Kai Sotto who did not play US NCAA ball but played professional ball outside of the US:

1. How many were drafted per year?
2. How many did NOT get an invite to the combine but got drafted per year?

3. How many of them were not in mock draft (Top 60), did not get an invite for the combine but got drafted per year?
