Filipino Players in Foreign Leagues

Come to think of it, based on how 2nd round players don't even end up playing for the team that drafted them, there's a chance Kai will be one of these players.

I'm betting the PBA is going to move heaven and earth to convince Kiefer to change his mind and stay in the Philippines once he comes back here for the SEA games. Looks like Kiefer got the best of them. They thought they'd have Kiefer back after a year in the B-League due to bad PR they're having for contesting Shiga Lakestars' "Poaching of players". Technically, Kiefer will indeed keep his promise and comeback to NLEX... for a single conference.
 
Keeping Filipino players in the Philippines will involve a huge overhaul of basketball culture. Out with the outdated coaches, in with foreign coaching talent. Out with the stupid PBA and SBP execs holding the league back. Too bad that's never going to happen, unless the PH version of Elon Musk, whoever he is, steps in.

It seems it is a prelude prior to Kai's drafting.haha They would want to parry supposed hecklings in advance. This forum has been a cesspool ever since negatrons have dominated IBN.

I will leave after Kai is drafted.haha You dont gain anything significant here and they will be elated being mods in a dying forum.haha Envy is incurable, they will forever suffer from that mentality.

Being promoted as admin here is not based on impartiality and integrity but mostly based on ass-licking, a typical trait of crabs. They want to bask on their negativity and hopefully, they stop mentioning me here after im gone.haha

So the SK coach was at the venue and was scouting the UP-Ateneo game last weekend. so sino ang top prospects nya? Tamayo perhaps, some of UP's flashy guards CJ and Ricci? in Ateneo, tops is Dave Ildefonso. sinp pa?

I cant remember now, is there any international coach that had brought a East Asian time to great heights.in World Cup or Olympics in the 2000s

does Jonas Kazlauskas, China's coach from 2005–2008 count? China placed 8th in the Olympics, 9th in the 06 WC under his watch

In case, Kai will be drafted because of his talent although we all know he is a project and his pick will be a gamble. His popularity amongst Filipinos and other asians would also be a factor as he can be a crowd drawer. Just him in the team and probably not having significant minutes or not even playing, his fans would still watch wherever his team plays.

Him not playing significant minutes will draw the ire of Pinoy and Asian toxic fans,that would also be a factor of not drafting or signing Kai for now.
 
Question why is there even a thing called "PBA only media ", are we a society that anything alternative is so unusual to the point where media get so defensive, like their journalism expertise on being experts of Philippine basketball becomes at risk . Basically jobs ..?
Why can't media cover and report on the B league then? The league and teams don't pay their pay check ?

I repeat again , the problem with the Philippines is its eco system,, it's just so messed up, that those who are rewarded by being affiliated with powers that be. Sorry it's really a basket case.

I don't expect people.to understand these things, especially if we've only known one way of doing things . The system and ways of doing things are just flawed

By PBA only media you mean game coverage? Well TV5 basically has those proficient in Tagalog do the PBA, while those better in English will stick to the UAAP. Make the UAAP appeal to the elite in their eyes. Also, GMA vs TV5 issues means certain talent cannot cover certain leagues in official platforms. NCAA talent for example cannot even name the UAAP during coverage.

I said keep it basketball related and the DAdmiral is doing just that. Im sorry but you can't insult him personally anymore. Its not my job to filter what kind of basketball takes are happening in this forum.
 
Any news if Kai received invitation to either the NBA Draft combine or GLeague Elite Camp?
