So we should expect Kai to be invited to combine, those who are invited are based on votes from all NBA teams , the 70 who get the highest votes are invited. ALL invitees have already received their invitation. Hoping Kai got his invite, looking forward to announcement !
 
As long as Kai will have private team workouts, then I will be happy.hehe You should pray that Kai won't be invited during that combine. It would be the first time that we will see Kai against those bigs especially Chet and Duren. Kai has been playing tougher and bigger competition all this time. I'll take Kai over the 15 bigs that were hype by MOCK WRITERS.

How are they better than Kai? Kai against Chet and Duren would be so fun to watch.haha

Only those who aren't watching games religiously would contend that those bigs in the mocks were better than Kai. Duren is too limited and raw. Hukporti is way better than Duren.

The Utah Jazz have no draft picks for 2022. They traded it away a couple years ago.

The NBA Draft combine is very similar yet vastly different from the NFL Combine. The respective league officials are invited to a central location in both of these events. The officials have a look at the players and evaluate them physically and medically.THE ‘EYE TEST’ AND SCRIMMAGES,s the most high-profile part of the NBA Draft Combine. Analyze is not excited for his much hype bigs to play against Kai.hehe On the other hand, it would be a great opportunity for Kai to play against bigs his age after a very long time. Let us check how Kai would fare and if the mock writers and pessimist were correct with their assessment.

I am expecting that Kai would be invited just because he is a well known BWB alumni. I will be surprise if he wont be there but he will still have private team workouts by end of the month.

Regarding the supposed toxic pinoys fans, any publicity would still equate to cash flows to the NBA and the team who would draft Kai. Those toxic ones were very minimal as compare to descent pinoy fans. The NBL and ADL has no problem with that and they were very keen to persuade Kai to stay.

Kai will not only represent PH but he will represent malay and chinese Asians.

Summer League invite is very plausible. He might even get a G-League offer afterwards.

I hope Kai is signed based on his basketball skills and not just be a marketing tool. If he is it's probably better to play somewhere else where he'll get all the playing time he deserves and develop.
 
The projected top 10 picks don't stand to gain by participating in 5 vs 5 scrimmages held in Combine in front of all teams
I don't recal a top 10 pick scrimmaging in the
Combine. At this point NBA teams picking in top 10 are all over the few 10 players advising them essentially to stay away and limit their exposure exclusively to teams picking in top 10.
Like it would be foolish for Jabari Smith to play in front of the Milwaukee or Suns who have low picks..
Private workouts with specific lottery teams is where it would make sense to scrimmage for high projected picks, Chet , Jabari, Ivey , Sharpe etc vs existing roster players .( injuries is the last thing you when you 're a month away from signing a millions of dollar

Why would Chet or Banchero scrimmage with low rated prospects like Maker , Zheng or Kai a month away from draft . If their agents shut down NBL stint in like March after being assured they will be drafted, so much more they won't play in May

Well that's good for that specific mock , hopefully he consistently registers in that range in more mocks getting closer to draft day .
Kai does have an outside chance, he just has to rapidly rise in stock this month of May , hopefully he gets an opportunity to show his wares .
To me being invited to the combine is really critical for a player currently in his range , the reason is it becomes a game of numbers.. as NBA teams.for the last 10 picks will start thinking who among the 50 remaining in radar top 100 players will they need to use a pick rather than just wait and sign via FA

Kai to me seems more like a FA target , than requiring a draft pick to use to secure him.

i think kai is eventually gonna go undrafted but will get a summer league invite and maybe a training camp invite as well. best case scenario is he gets a 2-way contract and prove his worth along the way

This article clearly explains Kai's status that many are confused about.

If this fact is first established, it makes a lot of opinions from personalities senseless
1. Toroman - it would be better if he waited for 1 year
2. Snow - his handlers made wrong decision to enter this year
3. Bell- He needs to declare by April 23 and we will see if he will withdraw

Hope people can see now the mockery and misinformation being spread

It also puts light on why Kai's camp while rated low is forcing , insisting desperately to go all out to be in this 2022 draft (no choice)

Do note of the long list of automatically eligible players in the hundreds, it is only Bell who is claiming his client needs to declare and can withdraw. This is really NOT a trivial mistake and should be called out.

Here is a scenario while obviously speculation gives some clues on why Kai's agent is possibly going with such an approach

A NBA team likes Kai, (but like Duncan Robinson scenario), do not want to use a valuable draft pick on him. So like Robinson, they tell his agent we are interested to sign Kai as a FA if he goes undrafted .

The agent comes up with a game strategy plan, with the goal of him getting drafted (still preferred outcome ), they make public releases to uninformed to rules media in the Philippines. We will declare cause many teams are interested in drafting Kai !

A team bytes the bluff, and drafts Kai late to avoid other teams from signing him as a FA.. the team that drafts Kai owns Kai's rights, but does not need to sign him yet. So Kai spends another year in 36ers without NBA team that drafted him spending a cent .

All speculation yes. But that is what one does to understand what scenarios a team could possibly be taking to have clues on why the approach.
