sorry for posting fake news, the SMB fan page already clarified that it is just an april fools joke, come to think of it, why would Japan want a undersized 4?, Manuel is just what, 6'3 at best. Plus he'll just be eaten alive by world imports. Further, there are no rumors about Japanese teams interest on Manuel.

There actually is historical data to support this , in 2022 is 1 %, in 2023 its about 0.01 %. , 2024 zero , cause players are only eligible for 2 drafts as per CBA .
EWP and the CBA have already confirmed his 1st eligible year is.2022.

The historical data is found in % of not in top 100 consensus (April) being drafted . Which is 1 %

There is no such thing as declaring for players who are eligible for the year. Early Entry Declaration are only for those who haven't reached " automatic eligible status '. This is not opinion, but is factually happening and applied now .. just read the official early entry draft list 2022 (deadline April 24). No one who reaches automatic eligibility status is on the list. (Like Remy). He was last year when he wasn't auto eligible but needed to declare

He was a US resident student in last 3 years that turned pro.
Read the CBA a million times,
There are really no loopholes to this rule.
 
When will we find out with finality if Kai is auto eligible or not? Whether or not he can choose 2022 or 2023.

I guess after this draft? Last draft his handlers said he was actually eligible this year because of the month of his graduation or something. If they say he is not eligible again maybe they found another loophole.

Pretty much by April 24th , deadline of early entry, why? EWP has expressed they want to "test the waters ". Which you can only do by entering then withdrawing by June 14.
So essentially if he is not on early entry list by deadline of April 24 . It means he is automatically entered (period)

Just wondering...On the top 100 players in the mock draft, 60 gets drafted and get to play in the NBA. Does the extra 40-50 undrafted players play atleast 1 reg. season game? I wonder whats the percentages..

For undrafted in top 60 to 100 hmm, just a wild guess , 10 % or 4 of 40 undrafted players will get to play in the NBA (get a full year contract), maybe another 4 get at least a 10 day contract. This is just an estimate... you can use 2019 pre covid as basis (note this season history was broken with most # of players played as replacement players for covid)

Well yes. Let me reword it. By all appearances they were gearing for last year's draft. That was what we all believed. Then it was reported that by a quirk in his graduation Kai was eligible a year after, unlike his peers Jalen Green etc. His handlers were not aware of this early on or they would have publicized that Kai was on a 2 year program not 1. To me it was luck he was not eligible as he gained 1 more year to work on his game.
 
Kai Would Have entered Last Year's Draft if he is 1 yesr removed from HS.

I think they were confident Kai will be drafted, or at least an nba team will sign him as an undrafted fa last year.

It just happened kakagraduate nya lang ng Senior High.

PS: And Wait, So he is not eligible really for College last 2 years because he is not a graduate of SHS yet. But It is useless right now. Just a thought

Wait. I will react to this because I created the Kai's Draft Prediction thread. I don't think there is something wrong in creating that for us to freely predict.

Anyway, My expectations naman is a 2nd Round Draft and Stashed for Kai.

Yep, I am still believing Kai will beat all odds that he will not be drafted
 
Anyway bottomline is NBA people were not impressed with the change in graduating date.. it's viewed in their circle as dodgy practice (whether intentional or not). Rest is history.
BTW 1st thing teams ask when considering on recruiting Kai, is what actually happened with Ignite and him leaving unexpectedly early? Then naturally they make their due diligence calls to NBA personnel for reference.. no need to tell you what the implications of that means , especially for a player in the bubble so to speak for draftability competing vs so many for just 58 draft spots .

I'm not accusing you of anything wrong, i'm just pointing out that the reason people are naturally responding to the exaggerated takes , is topic of kai being drafted was presented , with some making super bold predictions. Like you can imagine the reaction if someone said Remy Martin is top 10 pick and Ivey who is top 4 in mocks is overrated , of course you will get a natural response. I say it again for the nth time , the root of all the toxic discussion is the over hype of kai's true draftability (it's simply exagerated ) , there will be no issue at all if we treated him accurately like Remy Martin

there is fine line between supporting Kai which most here are, with overhyping exaggeration

do not forget early last year I had Kai consistent with a mock as a possible 2nd round pick ( which wasn't exaggeration at that time but accurate and consistent with some other writers) . Always have had Kai as the center piece of Gilas future. how's that a hater ?

the response to the overhype is to be expected. nothing personal. as i said you would get the same response for anyone who made overhype like if it was for Remy

agree. actually they should've been pumping him with consistent minutes earlier on as soon as their playoff chances vanished. nba non-playoff teams do this to develop their younger prospects. they ought to let him develop unless of course adelaide knows/thinks that kai is leaving after this season for whatever reason.

Adelaide was very vocal that Kai would hopefully stick for another year. On the other hand, the NZ Breakers had been showcasing their young players midseason. The inefficient stats of Dieng was because he was given a lot of leeway. The actions of ADL don't really serve Kai but maybe they aren't happy that most likely Kai will apply for this year's draft.

It is a testament that real bball personalities recognize the talent and upside of Kai and Sta. Maria is a former NBL player.

Need ng NBA teams ang bigs these days and Kai can contribute on both offense and defense. We will really know EWP's plan for Kai by end of the month.

Real bball personalities appreciate the talent of Kai.haha pero tung negatrons mas magaling pa yan sila sa real bball players. Clear magaling yung Kai Sotto joke yung ang Holgrem sobrang galing daw.haha always naman nawawala against tough competition. Bawal pangsabihan ng bolbol thon maker.haha Si Kai bawal maggobert jokic.hehe

Sa sample na video ng spurs sobrang slow nung mga big defenders lalo na aldridge clear naman mas mabilis si Kai diyan.tsaka kung si poetl lang naman mas able si kai sa defense at intimidating. Average athlete yung poetl di din mabilis. Need lang ni Kai maayos na team na matalino ang coach.

Kailangan pa naman ng spurs ng high IQ players.hehe
