what is happening? is there still hope of making the NBA?

Not right now. I think he is going to play in the PBA someday and gets his confidence back. I hope Kai is mentally tougher than Kobe Paras and Japeth Aguilar.

oh no please not pba.

I believe kai will make the nba. But if he don't.

I rather have him play in europe or quality international leagues.

Hopefully he gets some playing time in their next game. Kai Sotto is a good kid. he is going to have a successful career than Kobe and Japeth.

at dahil injured si humphries mapipilitang ilabas ng 36ers ang kanilang secret weapon na si mr sotto. makikita na natin ang 70% lang nakanyang lakas ang kanyang bagong tatoo.. expect career high points mamaya.. mark my words

Speaking of Harry Roque he has a higher grade than Miriam Defensor Santiago in the Bar Exams. Harry got 82 in the 1991 Bar Exam while Miriam got 78 in the 1969 Bar Exam.

LOL Kai "Mr Butterfingers", dude can't even catch a clean pass not to mention that he looks lost again on both offense and defense

talk about a momentum killer LOL

Was very impressed with how hard Hukporti runs the floor. Plays with such high energy every second he is out on the court. In contrast Kai looked like he was having an asthma attack only after of 3 minutes playing time.

I also noticed Hukporti was leaving Kai wide open on the three line and Kai didn't even think about shooting. If he wants any chance of making the NBA as an unathletic big he needs to let those three ball attempts fly.

I dont think he has the greenlight to shoot it. But yes he needs to take open shots. He cant be quicker footed and stamina has always been his problem at the higher levels. But shooting should be improved in practice.

Kai looked really raw. But he can really be a force in the paint in his physical prime.

Not that bad overall, but yeah, charge this game to experience. I hope Humphries takes his time to heal and recondition. Kai really needs real game burn. There’s just no substitute for actual playing time in terms of his development. This is where you see where you ACTUALLY are.

Baby steps, marked improvement from before stats-wise.

Kai refusing to shoot from distance means that he's either scared to shoot them or not allowed to shoot them. Still blame Ignite for that because as I've said many times before, they "reengineered" his jump shot which completely destroyed his rhythm.

Kai missing some tutok na mga tira sa ilalim. Good thing he got the offensive rebounds for those putback dunks.

I also noticed that in his games with Gilas - missing those point blank shots

Kai is the only homegrown Pinoy that can have that relevance in the NBL. He's an impact when so close to basket.

Obviously though this is a million miles away from the NBA. So let's not even talk about him being a prospect.

The progress though is positive for Gilas. You can see at Asia level he would be a force inside under the basket.
