LOL something doesn't add up here, isn't this the best time for the kaiju to develop his in game strength and conditioning ... i mean during a time when the games don't count? just seems off that they'll sit a "prospect" during this time, I mean what more when the games actually count? BLeague is waving .....

And for the fans to be patient as well

As I've said, yung physical aspect nalang talaga ang kulang kay Kai Sotto. Skill-wise, he's good enough at this stage of his career. An improvement in Kai's physical strength will have a significant impact on his game.

true. its also good that adelaide team has seen kai's weaknesses now and work on it before the regular season starts.

Comments from a coach a few months ago

"Different speed in the next level! He also said he needs to run the floor better.
He doesn't expect Kai to be physically mature for NBA until 25....

Fast forward today and those words are consistent with everything that is being said and is happening (actions )

It is the physical side where he is not yet ready. Rookies with little exposure are not load managed in the pre season

And Chet Holgrem is physically ready in the NBA next year.haha He said Kai is athletic, and skilled for a guy his size. IH said that Kai is the most impressive young prospect in their roster. That is coming from your co center who is not really old and a threat to your minutes.

It seems Kai should be peak form to be drafted but others would just be okay even if raw and just potential.haha if kai would be decent this year then he will apply for next year's draft. It seems analyze is again WRONG to claim that Kai is auto eligible next draft.

Not everyone who gets drafted are already physically mature.

LOL first of all it was you and your tribe who overhyped Kai so naturally people here would want to see if Kai does live up to the hype YOU created ... don't even try to spin that

sooner rather than later coach CJ will be getting the brian shaw treatment .... in the end it seems his signing was just one hell of a marketing gimmick but hey at least its not only the 36ers who are benefitting from the sudden surge of pinoy fans but the city of Adelaide itself as well, I'm no one here even knew that such a city existed in the world before their team signed Kai LOL

Come on dude. The Kaiju is Adelaide's secret weapon and they don't want to let the other teams scout his game too much.

He is being rested in the preseason in a similar way you would rest Lebron, Durant or Curry in the NBA preseason.

It is basically practice games.

I mean we are talking about PRACTICE.

LOL you mean his coach and team management don't even have the confidence in him to have him play in PRACTICE/PRESEASON games

LOL you can't even afford to buy a Mac

It is very obvious from the actions of Adelaide's management that Kai is not even NBL ready at this stage. Hence the reason to withdraw him from the preseason games.

His body and fitness obviously is not up to a minimum standard for a legitimate pro league.

Leaving the Gleague Ignite really was a major mistake from Kai's team. If he had stayed in the program even with just minimal playing time, a full season in the weight room and scrimmaging with pros would of boosted his development.

Instead he fluffed around with random skills trainers that probably made his shot worse lol.

Kai and his management probably think that he's better than he actually is. Kai thinks that he can just ignore his responsibility in the Gleague because he's too good for it. This is why social media hype is not always a good thing. Lalaki talaga ulo ng mga tao.

"I'm not getting any PT here, I'm gonna GTFO of here" basically

hope kai will stick around. even if he becomes a third option for center position he will still learn many things.

He definitely should. Opportunity like this is a rarity. Heck, being part of the Gleague and playing alongside top quality athletes doesn't always happen.

The fact that the Adelaide 36ers have "two elite big men" makes it unlikely for Kai Sotto to have a lot of playing time.

"Sotto will have to earn his minutes" and "show consistency of effort and production," said sportswriter Roy Ward who covers the NBL for The Age newspaper.

too many red flags -- the hunchback posture, duckfeet, short strides, short ape index, low vertical and seemingly worsening lack of stamina

The Australians and NBL may be wrong , but it really is true he is not viewed as a "next NBA draft prospect or at least a highly rated prospect by those covering the NBL.
watch any review or podcast on players to watch for the coming season or NBL prospects list and Kai is simply not viewed as a prominent prospect.
