Coach CJ seems like a cool dude, love what he said "he's (kai) shown that on his fire everyday in practice", so it seems Kai has been practicing hard and has caught the attention of his coach.

This interview really made me more optimistic about Kai's minutes, as far as I'm concerned. Kai is in the right place so far. He should have just gone straight to the NBL rather than the G League hehe.

yeah he could've saved wasting a season plus avoid all the drama lol

I haven't watched a lot of NBL games but from the few games I watched it seems that it's a traditional big man's league, wherein back to the basket bigs are given more leeway to post up and create. I don't know how I feel about that when it comes to Kai's development, I'd rather see him play more on the outside and work on them 3's, get more comfortable outstide the paint

Bro, alam mo bang bawal magtagalog sa site na to, maliban na lang kung isasalin mo kaagad? Baka matanggal tayo dito sa iminumungkahi mo na yan.

I genuinely didn’t know. Is this site still being moderated? That one bot keeps posting. I’m thinking it might be someone using the site for machine learning. Unless it’s a real person just posting spam?

From the looks of it, there’s no more active moderators around. Self moderation na lang. Look at the threads, particularly this one. Lots of bickering going on (I am one of the willing participants, btw). Hahaha

Overall, this site is still useful and informative, save for this toxic thread and its spinoffs. If you’re game for exchanging banters and unpleasantries every now and then, you’d do just fine.

Should be balance imo. And Kai is 7'3. And still at his best at the post and inside the arc. Where he can maximize his height, length, and size.

But I agree that he should improve his Outside Shots whether 3 or Midrange. To complement his inside game.
His Midrangeand Free throws I think is ok. It is his 3pt shos which are not falling.

Kai is CJ's prized possession and he said Kai will play significant minutes. Also, Cj said he wont limit his time.

This would end the minutes debate and Kai will be DNP. :o:o:o

Lol G-League

You mean Guard-League? Hahaha

It seems to me that the default approach for Kai is to see his development and his minutes will depend upon his continuous improvement AND health.

So, if he continuously improve and shows that he can remain healthy, he will get the PT he deserves. Otherwise, he is being reared for next year.

Hence, i hope Kai continuously show the improvement that he can. Because this time, his opportunity, all depends upon him.

Matt Aquino to be coached by Tom Hovasse, at least in the training camp, and if you watched the FIBA Asia Women's Cup and the last Olympics, his system is constant motion and very fast paced.

Ay nako, hinding-hindi yan mawawala. It's come to the point where the JP people who haven't seen the game are commenting on it negatively towards Thirdy. But then again, San-en won't let him go. On that point, we have nothing to worry about.

I guess those are just non basketball fans. I think passion is one trait sport fans appreciate from their players. Thirdy just needs to get a punching bag or something the next time he gets frustrated. He broke a rule and because it was from a sponsor he got a bit worse of a penalty. But that is it. We can move on.

True, Kai will be scouted and defenders will start to dare him to shoot. a 30% clip mark will be alright this year

I agree on all points. honestly I don't expect Kai to get heavy minutes (probably average around 4 to 5 mpg starting this season and maybe some DNP here and there) however It's nice to know that coach CJ is taking notice of Kai's work during practice and if Kai can show this in a consistent basis then PT will follow

*Beware the clickbait title*

If what this Youtuber is saying is true, then the rumors about Kobe aren't true. His agent said that they would like to speak to whoever is spreading those rumors. While the whole MAKAKASUHAN tagline is clickbait, East Asians don't joke around with their courts. If we subscribe to the tenet "innocent until proven guilty", it's the reverse over there. If you're tried, you're essentially treated guilty. Our gossipers better tread lightly from now on, these courts don't play.

to be honest, i think these kind of people should be held liable. free speech does not mean no consequences. im really hoping they file case for these kind of people. time to put his money where his mouth is.

Yeah! It seem like it as a default approach by coach. However, it seems also true that if Kai meets his greater expectation then coach will not hesitate to give more PT.

For me though, given the interview, i would return back to 10mpg, at most 15mpg, with some DNP. but i trust in Kai's ability so he may be given some 25mins. in some games.

As i said. This stretch of games is more than anything Kai got in a span of 1 year. (2020-2021)

Obviously, there will be both breakout games, and bad games (Everybody have). I really dont think he will get a DNP unless he is injured or something. But I can concede limited mins 10-15 mins in the first few weeks. But can increase depending on Kai's performance.

Btw, I hope Kai will play tomorrow. It was a long wait. And this can help Kai boost and increase his role and minutes.

I can see from the last 3 post people are getting a better understanding of what to expect in the NBL as they watch more games. I agree with most of the expectations.

Again, unless Kai shows the necessary capacity, he will be given the appropriate PT. They are so far consistent with their expectations of Kai, he is an important piece of the team, and as long as he continue to show the level of discipline, hardwork, and willingness to learn, he will get what he needs in the team.

Obviously, the prejudice is there. Pati PBA nilait pa nung puting unggoy na yan lol matatangkad lng sila dun sa NBL pero karamihan banban. Pero wag ka, meron dito sa IBN mga feeling foreigner kung makapang mallit sa homegrowns

Getting a small dick vibe from your post bruh. Chill the heck out and learn to accept criticism.
