Filipino Players in Foreign Leagues

4- 6 foreign players is the range in Europe. Asian leagues are still more restrictive with Japan B.League the most lenient and the PBA the most strict.

I think our rule on mix blood is much better. You wont see players like CS and pringle playing in the same team. You need to be Japanese by age of 22 to be consider local or else you will play as naturalized. Naturalized is one per team in Bleague.

Never thought in any scenario the dominance of SMB or MVP will be challenged like this. Now its a battle of resources and Japan is a worthy challenger

Yeah, very very correct. Isn't "money" the sole factor why SMB & Ginebra are so loaded & bloated with quality talents while most teams are so "malnourished" talent wise? If confronted with such issue, PBA people would reason out, "no rule/law was violated".

Now, PBA is getting its own dose of medicine. Sasabihin nila, "This shouldn't be just a matter of money". Really? Do they think fans will believe that what made SBM & Ginebra super bloated with talents has nothing to do with money?

Lokohin nyo ang unggoy para dumami kayo.

And BTW, is there any law being violated by B-league teams if they tender lucrative contracts to PBA players? Its a free enterprise out there.

Great to see PBA getting its own dose of medicine. Your past wickedness will haunt you someday in such ways that there's nothing you can do but to accept & endure it. Masakit di ba? But PBA people deserve it no less.

I'm interested to see the domino effect: 2x more future ballers all avoiding the PBA like a plague and heading elsewhere.

If I was a local 16 yo 6'6 pinoy, I would ensure I had all the skills of a combo guard to be a worthy overseas prospect like Paras or Ramos.

Money is the #1 x-factor here. Athletes will go where the gold mine is and apparently SMC teams are no longer that mine.

Is he playing as a PF/C? Honestly, I don't see how his frame can go up against those bigger imports of the B. League.

He got eaten alive by Jakrawan for gods sake.

He's listed as a PF. I do hope he gets reps there, though. That might help make him more useful for Gilas if ever.

I hope so. At least a reliable stretch 4.

No way he's going to improve in the PBA.

[you guys overhype a kid who has never "achieve' anything in his career yet]

So, several stints at the fiba age group meant nothing, Including an MVP at the asian level, a couple of world cups where, despite being a couple of years younger than most" he was one of the top performers? That's nothing to you? Won a tournament MVP within just around 4 months of stint at the AAU, that's minced meat to you? At age 19 was already one of the key players in the Olympic qualifiers where he played against several NBA players, that's nothing to you? At age 19 has already signed his 2nd pro contract, that's not an achievement to you? Buoy, you must be an extremely well accomplished athlete. Or it's just your ass talking again? Or, is it envy, is it pure hatred? Whatever it is, i feel sorry for you. I hope you can still sleep.

That's hella cool, but those accomplishment didn't help his draft stock though. So, I don't think it matters in grand scheme of things. His performance in the NBL still going to be a make or break for him if he's an actual NBA worthy or not.

Yeah!

Its a battle of resources that made SMB & Ginebra so loaded with talents which gives them significant edge over the other PBA teams. Yet kume Marcial & PBA people did nothing to prevent those lopsided trades that made SMB & Ginebra super bloated teams. Now, its the battle of resources that would make PBA lose its marque players to the B-league & possibly to other overseas pro leagues. As I've said, PBA getting its own dose of medicine. Marcial & other PBA officials are now hunted for their "sins" of the past.

From the highlights his frame is even enough to be a 3. But of course Kemark lacks those skills. From the highlights he was parking in the corner, most likely their team plays a 4-out system. And on defense he was also doing closeouts and switching in PnR. Definitely so much better for his improvement for his ceilinh instead of being a backup 5 in pba.

He played back up Center for Canadian import Renaldo Dixon

Kemark's B. League debut highlights

I get you, bro. I respect your opinion but I am convinced time will prove you wrong. Kai will make it to the NBA. One year, two years from now, doesn’t matter. Kai will improve exponentially after a season or two, playing in a big man league like the NBL. Judging from the rate Kai has worked on himself in terms of skills and physique, he’d be a force to reckon with sooner than later. Kid’s a hard worker and he has angas. It’s a good sign, if you’d ask me. We shall see, but my money is on Kai, not only making the NBA, but actually getting drafted and having a decent NBA career.

I think he will be a stretch big n PBA. But not as effective like RDO as his not shifty or high IQ. Unless CYG magic will be effective on him.

As long as he's able to play 4 on both ends, never mind if he's not RDO-quick. Cariño projects as more of a 3&D big anyway.

Fantastic start by Kiefer today after going 1-13 yesterday. He's playing out of his mind right now.

Shiga returning the favor now on Nagoya, Keifer currently top scoring for Shiga with 14 points under 5 minutes in the first half

I bet Parks will have a good 2nd half but Kiefer will sustain his good game up to the 2nd half

Why is 1GDL not playing. No minutes given. Is he injured. 3rd quarter about to end.
