As early as now, I can see that this San-en team is miles better than last year with Jelovac and those dribbling point guards.

Ang hirap puro comment mahina naman sa comprehension!haha Never did I say that Kai would be sure fire ROY because they still need to play and contend for it!lol I always say that Kai is a ROY contender ever since and he has way better chance on my estimate to bag that ROY.lol

I'm only making conclusions based on what I know, and I know 1GDL's team has lost 3 straight games with Juan playing minimal minutes. And if the coach argues with him after pulling him out after 1 min of play, that means this coach is your hardcore European style drill sergeant. Too bad he sucks or else he wouldn't lose 3 straight, and I'm sure you agree Juan has the skills to be in B1.

Agreed, which is why I said he needs to study Rip Hamilton. Kobe is near-useless if he doesn't have the ball.

I believed they have diffrent rules for different regions regarding the playing time of their imports, specially their freshman Asian imports, just like Thirdy last year,he's getting more playing this year than last year.

Kobe still lacks consistency. He follows up a good game with a worse one.

I'm really concerned with his lift, his jump when he dunk seems a little lower nowadays,I think he's too heavy,he needs to lose that excess weight,he's a basketball player not some linebacker.

I am starting to appreciate the value of Kiefer Ravena besides the numbers on the scoreboard. He is an extremely sharp playmaker, the kind of guy that if you give the ball to, you don’t have to worry because 90% of the time he will find the open man in their suitable spots. I think he’s the best value pinoy player in the BLeague rn and well worth the paycheck. BLeague will make our players way more efficient that the pba never could imo, even as rookies I feel that the pressure is there for our players to produce numbers with good efficiency amongst towering foreign imports. In the pba there is no such pressure, you can be as shit as you want and you’ll still get paid. The pinoy BLeague players have mountains to climb to prove that they belong there, to prove to the team owners that they’re a worthwhile investment even when amongst the tough foreign competition(in asian standards) currently playing there and imo this will elevate their standards, I don’t feel that they are competing with the less developed Japanese locals for their place in the team, our players are really competing with the other imports in the league, this is what the free market is all about.

What happened to Parks? Although still the start of the season, Parks playing disappointment.. And why his coach not utilizing him?

He's coming off an injury and he's also being extremely passive, not looking for his shot and just content of just being a role player. Someone tell Parks he's not playing in the G-League anymore and start asserting himself. He's way too talented just to be standing around in a corner and passing off shots.

I hope this import culture amongst Filipino prospects will continue well into the future, instead of playing in insular leagues, better to enter the market where you can compare yourself to better competition. What I’m waiting for is Kenmark Cariño’s entry into his b2 team, dude is a raw, skinny 6’9 player who’d have to compete in an import dominated position who are usually stronger and more developed, it will be very interesting to see how he develops in the future, I hope he is successful.

Noticed the same thing as well. Those minion point guards are gone and so is the defensive turnstile that is Jelovac. Also helps that Thirdy is no longer being hampered by injuries/COVID and has adjusted after having stayed in Japan for a year. The coach is trusting him with more minutes as well.

Paras is getting high usage rate as well, 29 minutes given in only his 3rd game and the freedom to select his shots really shows what they expect of him and the gauge of his potential. Rather get that level of trust straight up rather than getting benched until he’s 25 years old and more “mature”.

1JDL's team Tokyo Z got blown out again. This time they did better.... only losing by 29 points this time. This team sucks big time. They have an average losing margin of 20.3 through the first four games of the season.

The only good thing to note is that 1JDL had more playing time today with almost 19 mins. 11 points, 2 rebs, 3 ast, 1 stl, 4-10 FG.

Tokyo Z looks like a D2 version of San-En last season. An even worse one.

Definitely, Coach Branislav's body language is visibly different towards thirdy from last year as well. The trust is there for sure.

It is too bad that they lost, but at least 1GDL is getting more playing time. I don't see why he could not produce better numbers with more minutes, but hopefully it will translate to wins of course.

The San-en's imports are really both working both inside and outside. When Jelovac plays kasi in defense, San-en is basically 4 vs 5. Add those point guards, you are basically 3 vs 5 in defense. Hence, those losing games with wide margins.

Thirdy is leading the team in points and 2nd in minutes played.

My way too early 4 game pinoy b.league power rankings:

1) Kiefer - 14 ppg, 2 rpg, 6.5 apg, 2 spg, 50 40 88 shooting, 5.2 A/T ratio, 3-1 record
-just a born leader. that assist to turnover ratio is crazy

2) Thirdy - 15 ppg, 6 rpg, 3 apg, 1.3 spg, 37 35 80 shooting, 2-2 record
-much better than his dreadful first year. good all around game. still needs to shoot better.

3) Kobe - 17 ppg, 3 rpg, 2.5 apg, 1.3 spg, .5 blocks, 42 35 69 shooting, 2-2 record
-shooting way more efficient in a tougher league compared to his UP days. still needs to make himself useful if he doesn't have the ball. for a guy that big and that athletic, i expect him to average at least 5 rebounds.

incomplete - Parks (minimal minutes due to injury), Javi GDL (yet to play)

I think Kiefer can play even in NBL or Euroleague.. He's a dream PG for any coaches.. Kaya talagang iniiyak to ni CYG nung umalis... Then most of here doesn't like Kiefer to be part of Gilas? Kiefer can double or triple the effort Belangel, RJ and JGDL combined... Boy Dribble daw eh sabi ng haters!!!!

lol the wonder that is the fb comment section. kiefer would still be the best pba PG for gilas. efficient, makes the right decisions, clutch. medyo nasira lang reputation after the catfishing and fiba suspension but none of those had anything to do with his basketball skills.

It is too bad that not all eight are present and healthy. It will be an interesting season though. So far, the rumored 9th Pinoy B league player is yet to be announced. I did see a podcast by Enzo Flojo last week and he said that within a few weeks there should be official news. I wonder who it will be?

Kiefer passed the eye test for the NBL. I'm not too sure about the Euro league though, but I think Kiefer is good enough for a shot in a 2nd division European league in France, Spain, or whatever. Just to test the waters out.

Then most of here doesn't like Kiefer to be part of Gilas? Kiefer can double or triple the effort Belangel, RJ and JGDL combined... Boy Dribble daw eh sabi ng haters!!!

I really hope that Kiefer will be part of the November window. I know that Tab likes long practice times, but Kiefer at least has bubble experience under his belt with Gilas. He's smart also, and like Kai, he should be able to adjust fairly quickly. The only player in the B league that I am not too sure of is Parks. Not because of his talent, but because, unlike the other B league guys, he has no bubble experience.

Kobe actually looks leaner now than in college

Not just worth the paycheck, but also the drama that happened to get him to play

Ang hirap puro comment mahina naman sa comprehension!haha Never did I say that Kai would be sure fire ROY because they still need to play and contend for it!lol I always say that Kai is a ROY contender ever since and he has way better chance on my estimate to bag that ROY.lol

Wala akong pake anong place ni Chet sa draft!haha Basta for me at least first round si Kai and most likely OKC will draft Kai.haha Kai will shake that 2022 draft if he bags NBL's ROY!haha Goodluck sa magdadraft Kay Chet!haha He might end up like Bolbol or worst than Bol!haha

The call for Kai being a contender for ROY is somehow realistic and very achievable.haha A ROY Kai in the NBL would shake the 2022 draft.

Kai is a top ten lottery pick come draft day and the best team for him is the spurs...

Tapos ngayon bagsak first round na lang

Ako ipupusta ko IBN existence ko pag di nagfirst round next year si Kai.haha sainyu na ang IBN.

Pagdating ng pustahan bumabahag ang buntot :o

Kobe take a lot of shots and eats up minutes because he has established himself as one( not to mention jes an import) and hes obviously one of the go-to guys of the team. Coaches trust him so are his teammates. It doesnt matter how many percenteges their trust is, whether it be 80 %, 90 %. It doesnt matter. Its how Kobe plays even way back highschool. But he has added somethings to his arsenal as well (To thos who have been following Kobes career from the very beginning knows what im talking about).

You cant expect the guy to play like Ravena or Kiefer because they play completely different and brings something different to the table. You cant make a basket every single time too and blocks and assists at a consistent rate. Hes not MJ. Hes not Kobe Bryant. Even those guys had bad days in their game. Just because they shoot poorly at a particular game, they are automatically bad players. No. It is what it is. No one can be consistent in terms of scoring, etc every single game. Thats impossible. Sometimes youre hot. Sometimes youre cold. Even though youre feeling good that day. Thats really the nature of it. Bottom line is youre contributing to the teams success.

Just my 2 cents on Kobes performance so far.
