This is essentially what Jeffrey Cheng Filipinas did , he fast track processing of passport, (getting support of government), of course for FIBA we would target U16 to process passport. Yes it's a gamble as 16 year olds are not yet proven, but if just 1 out of 3 pan out , that's well worth the gamble investment

Sir Dave,

Investing in youth prospects is like planting coconut trees and other fruit bearing trees in general, that is why we need people who had a lot of patience in their being otherwise the blame game starts to creep in once patience dries up.

I salute Sir Jeff Cheng to be honest, even though he hasn't fully recovered his investment(that very first win and improved FIFA rankings is just a small seedlings for now, mga semilya pa) but we all know what he is planting will make a very big difference come the next cycle of FIFA World Cup. Being a farmer magandang bulas yung mga pananim nya walang lugi pagdating ng tamang panahon..in short the investment are doubled and luckily tripled when time comes.

congrats to dennis schroeder

Are they going to retain the Rim in the MOA hoops post-WC? Would be cool if they did. It’s like a symbol

Fuck their opinion.

If they don’t like it, then they are more than welcome to leave.

Its ok Bro. Germans practically invented a festival dedicated to beer drinking, so i dont mind being told they dont like our beer. However, Canadian coach of the German team is out of line, as Canadian beers ( Labatt, Molson) taste like moose piss IMO. and that's why Americans prefer the Mexican ones (Corona, Dos Equis) .

I've had European beers before (Belgian, German, Irish, Swiss) and can honestly say they SOME are better than our SMB products. Best is the Belgian brands (Duvel, Hoegaarden).

Disclaimer: Im not a beer connoisseur

It must've been not ice cold when they tried it, but to be fair, Red Horse is only good for a few, initial servings (first liter for me). Beyond that, it just messes me up.

SMB pale pilsen is the best, whether ice cold or room temperature.

Fair enough, German beer such as Pilsner and Becks really taste good much better than our SMB. When I went for holiday in Munich I had the one of the best drinking days of my life… Yes German beers are world’s best for me… and second probably the Czech beer such as Cerna Hora no offense to Filipino beer…

For me, I’m more curious when will fiba release the latest fiba rankings… Will 1-4 result of Gilas is enough to make it atleast top 5 Asia/Oceania ranked team? It will be a bummer if china still ahead of us… they have no more Olympic stint since 2016 and with 8 year cycle rule in rankings stated that China should be lower down their rankings… Iran might still in top 30 because their 2021 Olympic stint still within 8 year cycle run… Japan might be in top 25 ranked teams for sure… the biggest loser will be Korea… they might go down further in the rankings…

I don't think we'll overtake China this year. As lackluster their NT may have been the past 7 years, Gilas just didn't do enough in the same time period iirc:

Disappointing 2017 and 2022 Asia Cups
So-so performance in the 2019 and 2023 WC qualifiers
Abysmal 2019 WC proper
Satisfying ('cause no heavy blow-out losses) yet still lacking 2023 WC finish

Results from the above key FIBA events just won't be enough to help our case.

for me the most disappointing part of the gilas' wc performance was not having any other offense aside from letting JC cook. they had weeks of training without clarkson but when the world cup started it's like they only started training when clarkson arrived 2 weeks before
