NCAA Player of the Year Zach Edey can't even get minutes for Canada.

Excellent all-around game from Canada. Tough defense, good shooting. Dwight Powell using his height advantage to tap the ball.

Barrett who always disappears in big games, showed up.

Canada deserves the Gold if they go all the way. More than USA.

when you have powell and olynyk, hard for him to get that PT..
 
so it will not be one and done for Slovenia and Luka in manila, i think never cheer this hard for USA maybe except when Reaves has the ball

another dumb assumption , Slovenia has qualified in 3 world cups even before Luka while Portugal and Estonia has not even qualified yet in any fiba world cup. you should change your name to trust me bro

yes battle for 5th place, was able to buy tix for slovenia’s game tom (relatively cheaper compared to semis games)

but as greenarcher said,. they have nothing to fight for since the euro olympic slots are already taken by germany and serbia. So why risk the injury for fiba ranking points

Luka is just 24 years old, unless Europeans hit their prime earlier that american players i think we can still see a prime FIBA Luka in 2027 barring any major injury, i think his game will age well as he do not rely too much on speed and athleticism , what he need to learn is to control his whining

i thibk dotch is implying that Luka might retire from FIBA competition and focus on winning a nba ring moving forward

yes, i am just on the thinking that being the most important player of Slovenia and not having an heir apparent yet with the national team might make him to give it another shot at a podium finish in a non euro fiba competition unless they will not qualify
