Let's wait and see how he's gonna spin this embarrassing world cup performance.

Dude said to judge him after the world cup, can we do that now that we're eliminated? Haha seriously tho even with his lapses, still think this aint all on him. I mean preparations and player availability are issues that needs to be addressed as well.

Olynyk the FIBA Dirk of Canada.

this the type of naturalized player that Gilas really need, will not dominate the ball but can shoot, can bring down the ball and can also defend the post a perfect tandem for Aj Edu

I really believe we have the players to compete in FIBA, we have alot of young 6'5" and above guys that can play for Gilas provided SBP does the right thing and process some of these players' FIBA eligibilty (Baltazar, Tamayo, Sotto, Edu, Lopez, Tuffin, Quiambao, Lucero, Mike Phillips, Balunggay, Koon, Briones, Alter etc.) but we need to have a proper system and a competent coach for it to work. Just look at Italy I think we are more athletic as a team as compared to them but their system makes them a powerhouse. We already saw it with Tab Baldwin with his bubble team that reached the Olympic qualifiers, an effective system is what it takes to win.

as long as Chot is lurking to hijack it's hard but maybe this time he do not have enough leverage to do it again, maybe with his connection with the philippine basketball stakeholders Goorijan is a good candidate

Hoping for a USA-Canada finals to redeem this World Cup.

RJ Barrett finally out of his slump in a competitive game.

There are just certain players built for the FIBA game. Mike Tobey, Olynyk, RHJ and now Josh Hawkinson.

For USA, it's Josh Hart, Austin Reaves and Jarren Jackson.

i hope SBP starts to scout this kind of naturalized player, it doesn't have to be a nba player, i think if Kouame will be able to play in a league that can help him develop more , he can be that player , we have an Aj Edu who is defensively good with an ok offense though im just hoping that he stays healthy

Canada's real test will be Spain. I think they will breeze through Brazil and their aging guards.

Maybe, but the finals would be held at MOA

maybe they can have a change of plans as it will be only one game so it may not be a logistic nightmare, so far there was no news of any logistics problem during the opening day in Philippine Arena

may i add Austin Reaves among the US players he is the one who play and moves like a prototype fiba player, a Manu regen that can really standout even if he plays with another star players

NBA and USAB struck gold with the emergence Austin Reeves, He is almost at the level of stardom that the NBA was wanting for Ja Morant and Zion Williamson. It also helped that he is playing for the most popular team in the world, the LA Lakers.

I think FIBA is concerned about the transition time between the semi-final games and the final game with less than a day separating the games.

what a story for an undrafted guy no wonder why Bill Simmons was saying that Spurs should've go for him but of course lakers will always match and will not repeat the same mistake that they did with Caruso, Reaves is those kind of player who will always contribute and be effective in a winning team, like what Yeshkel said in his video about team usa that he is the perfect international style player in this lineup
