This performance of Lebanon is one of the reasons why Asian basketball is not respected… I know I want all Asian to lose for gilas’ purposes but not like this… bring some fight….

To think that Lebanon played with lots of promise in last year's FIBA Asia Cup where it finished a strong 2nd behind Australia in which Lebanon gave the Aussies a huge scare in the finals.

The sound crew fucked up so bad, sound is messy, also im sorry man but who is the autotune guy, sounds awful

must be too old, not familiar with ben and ben’s music, to think some of the band members were my former students

ben and ben's music is too mellow for a basketball event, should've just choose PNE or any artist that has a more livelier style , Ben and Ben is good but not your band for a festive atmosphere, i'll even take Mayonnaise belting out Jopay

To be fair, Latvia beat Serbia and Greece in the qualifiers. Latvia is legit.

I listen to Top hits PH in Spotify almost regularly. I like the songs but it's not rock's time in the local scene. And not too many upbeat songs IRC. Ben and ben is probably the biggest band now. But yes, I don't think they are fit for a basketball game.

Most of the bands are disbanded IRC. The Dawn is like a dinosaur. Started in the late 80s IRC. Preceded the Pinoy band boom of the early 90s.

Yeah... They picked Spellman early, that is already wrong decision for Lebanese, especially that he was in vacation, He didn't play some months after their triumph in KBL ... They should let him to be fit enough before joining... Meanwhile Jordan picked RHJ very fit and ready to play, Thus, his impact already there for Jordan... For Asian teams who are only relying on naturalized players just to be competitive in tournaments such as FIBA WC, OQT or Olympics, They should hire American players who are fresh in G-League or even in NBA if they have massive budget...

We all know Europeans are always better than Asians... But losing like this is ashamed in Asian basketball community.. Are we deserve of more slots given by FIBA? 5 actual slots (7 due to entry of NZL and Australia) in Asia is already too much... I hope Gilas and Japan will do some fight later on and not to be losing too much... They should give FIBA a reason why Asia should be deserve of some recognition....

Asia has the biggest population on Earth and FIBA is probably trying to expand its reach in the continent. There's nothing shameful losing to a more superior team. Shame is such an Asian trait that Westerners are more than happy to exploit and if you're Asian, you need to expel that from your system. Anyway, Lebanon deserves to be in this tournament whether they lose by 1 or 100. They earned their spot here by wining games they're supposed to win during the qualifiers.

But there is something wrong how Asians develop their basketball program.... physical and tactical wise... Or maybe Asian basketball community should focus put the WASL and EASL become bigger ala Euroleague... A stronger professional league will led to improvement to their national teams as well.... In terms of money, Asian countries can spend how Americans and Europeans spend their investment on their basketball program... Genetic wise, it is not also a valid reason... Argentina is also a small people but they developed their basketball program very well... Even Bahamas...

If FIBA wants to expand beyond the West, it not in their best interest to alienate Asia. Asia is becoming richer and more influential by the day, this is a market that FIBA cannot afford to lose. This isn't the 90s or 2000s anymore when when you can afford to take Asia for granted. Heck, India just became the first country to send the first spacecraft to the moon's South pole. That's where Asia is right now, amigo.
