Perhaps not too many people realize that in last year's FIBA Asia Cup, Rayray Parks is Gilas' top scorer with a 13-pt. per game average. Well, we can also attribute that to the fact that Gilas missed a No. of marque players in that tournament - Kai, Dwight Ramos, Junmar, CJ Perez, Iskati Thompson, & of course a naturalized player. But I think one can't deny the fact that Parks is capable to stepping up & be more assertive in offense if necessity calls for it.
I was actually contemplating of a Clarkson-Dwight Ramos-Parks solid rotation at the wings in which these 3 wingmen get the lion share of playing time in the 2 & 3 spots while the rest of the wingmen (CJ Perez, Abando, Newsome, Pogoy or Thirdy) will just get token playing time. But with Parks not being fielded by coach Chot in the last 3 friendly games of Gilas, I am now preparing myself of the big possibility that Parks won't make it to the World Cup roster.
