Cocky Americans going to be unbearable with the annoying narrative and arrogance like always. Yayayay talk shit to the WC and act like precious victims as well as you win like it’s 99% predicted.

can’t wait when they talk shit about the Philippines or any country because USA has 70% of worlds basketball talent pool. They think they own the world and everything revolve around them

This team look arrogant as fuck too. Never saw 2008 or 2012 tea showboat over an exhibition game. Problem with current generation of these entitled stats in the NBA. It’s 99% predicted you will win every game over a sport you created and own the talent pool. Be humble.

team USA still a must-watch, very fun team to watch. let them celebrate they just won after being down 18 points or something.

this is how a 4-guard lineup works: the guards being at least 6'5" and all can defend, play-make, & shoot.

it's not a bad thing if team USA is not head and shoulders above everyone else, how boring the tournament will it be if you know from the start who will win, this is a good test as i want to see how they will react when they face this kind of adversity

We just want basketball to improve and USA who win in everything except football have to be humbled and challenged for this to happen.

I love Reaves and I’m been on the Lakers bandwagon recently, but just hated that end of the game dunk maybe more the celebration cause it just shows you rubbing it into an opponent your much getter than.

you can do that in an NBA game but not in FIBA. The whole team just seem like they showboat after every big play. I swear the Olympic teams aren’t that arrogant like that.

I feel like they will just win every game and maybe easily though. I feel this win just gives them lore confidence even against arguably better opponents like Canada or France.

Germany are actually really good too and are in that range too. Frustrated because they played mostly well but of course they choke. I just can’t stand when a team chokes like that.

Canada is arguably the only best bet to beat the USA and it’s hard because their bench is trash and size is a question mark.

See this is why a call from the US fans to just send the Gleague and a couple of College standouts is getting louder and more than likely the NBA quietly supporting that idea.

lol i don't see why that is an issue, even the germans took it with a stride. it's not showboating in the dying seconds after a blowout win. it was a very competitive game where they were behind huge late, and with a 6-pt lead with only 12 seconds remaining. in a real game it was still winnable they would have fouled him. that punctuation prolly was a huge morale-booster too heading into the world cup for team usa. you've prolly never played a competitive game if you think that was unnecessary showboating.

I agree not showboating, its just an emotional high for this young players.

AJ Edu with 6 pts & 8 rebs. in 25 mins. So the hype that Edu is a very good rebounder is well justified. The good thing about Edu is that he is only 23 so he is expected to improve further. The key is getting the exposure in higher level game. I hope he gets enough playing time in Japan's B-league.

AJ would be the perfect partner for Abai at this point. With the stats JMF had last night (all offense, not too much on defense), i'm seeing AJ as the vacuum for all rebounds and blocks on the defensive end if ever the 2 bigs will be on the floor at the same time. It might work for stretches but it's quite risky for AJ knowing his injury history.

Junmar is having his best international basketball stint counting Gilas' training camp in Europe & that pocket tournament in China. Although these are just friendly games & a pocket tournament, I think the quality of opposition Gilas had faced in Europe, as well as the Senegal, Ivory Coast & Montenegro national teams are no slouches.

In last night's game vs. Montenegro, Junmar finishing with 19 pts against a legit NBA bigman like Vucevic is no mean feat.

Was a great experience watching Gilas vs a Euro team,
wil provide assessment after WC games , (part of non disclosure due to close door conditions

meh, they wont look into that too much. just Reaves letting them know which country he is reppin. friendly jab. bet they'll give a receipt in case they meet in the tournament.
