Italy for me is a dark horse in this coming World Cup.

Sorry bro, Even Dominican Republic can beat Italy… I will always convince that beating Italy is better to gilas chances than Dominican Republic… KAT is a game changer for them… he is really fit to fiba since his shooting is a deadly weapon to fiba setting… look at them, they even beat Canada (88-94)… do you think Italy can beat Canada w/ that weakest roster since 2015?

But can they hold on against Team USA? France, Canada and Australia have the pieces to compete against the Americans.

They can’t even beat DR… that’s why beating DR to gilas perspective is hard to imagine guys… I say beating Italy is a better shot (even it is also harder) than beating DR….

Costello seems to be a big loss to the team. He was an all star 5 in the 2021 afro basket. They are also missing a couple of good players. So I dont know how this team qualified but they are not at their full potential.

If Canada's 2nd unit had a hard time against DR, what more Gilas. LOL.

Mexico does not have a KAT level player so that game wont simulate anything.

I don't know if 7-foot Mo Bamba is FIBA eligible but if this player will play for Ivory Coast then the team would be significantly stronger. This player has an incredible wingspan of that of a 7-foot-10 player. U add in athleticism & this player would be a monster.

They are the 1st one of qualified in the WC from Africa… they were lucky that they have better draw in last qualifiers plus Nigeria’s problem at their players’ availability didn’t help them either…

Yes, but its still better than not having a tune-up game with Mexico. Granting that we probably would lose to the Dominican Republic, we would still be needing this friendly game vs. Mexico to further prepare us vs. Angola & our games in the consolation pool.

Ivory Coast can’t pay Mo Bamba’s insurance.. that’s why they can’t tap him…

Iran is lucky that Mo Bamba is not in the World Cup. The Iranians have a much better chance of beating a Mo Mamba-less Ivory Coast. Even Brazil is lucky that Bamba isn't in the World Cup.

Mo Mamba is a cool-sounding name but it's Mo Bamba.

When Bamba and Bol Bol played together for the Magic last year, their limbs could almost touch the rim when they distracted free throw shooters.

Makes me wonder why Ivory Coast has a big man as its naturalized player when they have good quality local bigs. I think it would be better for the team to have a wingman as its NP. Wingman like a Justin Brownlee or a Rondae Hollis-Jefferson.

Sorry.

What happened to Lebanon? From a team who almost beat Australia B last year's FIBA Asia cup, To a team that it's qualification to the World cup is not deserving at all... They losing left and right in all tune up games... Even they lose to a mid low tier Bahrain in a tune up game couple of days ago... Is there any problem to Lebanon team right now? They might even not beating Iran or Ivory Coast in classification stages!!!! Now they lose to Mexico (70-88) in Abu Dhabi showcase that couple of days ago Jordan beat them convincingly? They should bring back Aldreage rather than taking overwieght Spellman... Spellman scamming Lebanese basketball and their fans... They not deserve to have that undiscipline over weight guy (Spellman)...

Ha! Told ya. The way I see it, Lebanon NT banks on solid chemistry from their core to achieve great results and not having the NP that served as a glue guy last year for them would definitely be felt. Who would have thunk it, lol.

Brazil beat Australia in their tune up game in Melbourne… so I do think they can beat Ivory Coast even w/ bamba… caboclo is also good player that many considered as close as legit nba player

Iran might have 2 wins too in FIBA WC… one vs Ivory Coast and probably classification match vs Lebanon… keep notice on them… they might go back door route and steal asian Olympic spot from gilas or China…

Fit spellman is better… but no this one… how Lebanon allowed him to be overweight? They should not give him outright spot as NP from the start, so that he can be serious on his conditioning and make his work for that spot… Lebanon already give him a spot early, that’s why his commitment in Lebanon is not serious at all…

The reason why Ivory Coast lost to Gilas was because of our bigmen as reflected in the scoreboard.

Hagop rule is for Asia only.

Asia is so weak and they make us even weaker
