Pogoy, the Ravenas has to go, abando, newsome and oftana fight for the 12th spot

Sadly Kief will be assured of a spot since Scottie won't be 100 percent during WC. If only Bollick or Abarrientos was invited, both can perform on par with what Ramoz is showing IMO.

RJ Abarrientos is good actually, but he's just small/short that opposing team's point guards in the world level will exploit the mismatch in size. Bolick on the other hand doesn't have any problem with size since at 6-foot-1, he doesn't give up much size/ceiling against most point guards in the world level. Bolick also has the experience since he already played in the 2019 World Cup.

6'0-6'1 is an ok height for a PG in international competitions.

Based on the past 4 games, barring Sotto and Thompson, here is the Gilas most probable 12:

C Fajardo - 6'10
C/F Edu - 6'10
C/F Aguilar - 6'9
F Malonzo - 6'5
F/G Ramos - 6'4
F/G Parks - 6'4
G Clarkson - 6'4
G/F Abando - 6'2
G/F Perez - 6'2
G Newsome - 6'2
G Pogoy - 6'2
G K. Ravena - 5'11

Well, the team is a bit short at 3 and 4, height-wise. But length-wise, the team will not be at the disadvantage with the abundance of long-limbed and athletic players.

I believe that this team can hang against the Dominican Republic and could definitely beat Angola. Italy will be a longshot, though.

For me, Gilas needs two more games between August 10-19 in addition to their games against Montenegro and Mexico. For me, Venezuela, Cape Verde and Ivory Coast are the better prospects here. Puerto Rico and South Sudan will be our possible opponents, either in the 2nd round or in the classification.

I glanced thru the Isaac Go podcast with Chot.

Isaac said he respects Chot and admire him. Maybe there is a side here because Chot is the guest and the current national coach.

While maybe...yet maybe its sincere? And on the flipside Isaac was or maybe the closest one to Coach Tab.

Really disappointed that Bolick took Gilas for granted. He's very impressive last 2019 World Cup, and that momentum carried on his PBA career.

I believe he was invited multiple times during the windows but did not show up due to honeymoon with his wife? Those were the rumors. Or maybe he just didn't like that he was underutilized by Chot during the Feb 2022 window when Montalbo got more playing time than him?

Bolick's pg instincts are miles ahead of CJ. Plus his slashing and driving abilities I think are on par. As for his shooting, he's better at that aspect compared to Perez, Kiefer and Scottie.

Scottie and Bolick would have been the best combination for our PG since they both bring something different to the table. Unfortunately I think the pride and the Napoleon syndrome of Chot got in the way, cause why would you not take a final look of Bolick in this camp at the very least?

You are very sure that China can make it aaahhh? Hhmmmm? Did you see South Sudan’s preliminary roster? It includes JT Thor and Bol Bol… even thou it’s not final, but I guess Loul Deng have connections to those guys to participate for South Sudan… I think they will beat China… maybe China can beat Puerto Rico but I’m sure they will lose to SSD

I think NZL should worry about Jordan right now… they are doing great in their preparation games and beat Mexico (I think they are in same level as New Zealand) in the kings cup final in a blowout fashion (85-68)… it seems mr. Analyzed team might go 0-3 if they keep ignoring Jordan… RHJ makes the team better, he’s a winner and make Jordan team more versatile team.. they don’t need tucker since Ibrahim can hand over guard duties for Jordan..

Lols. Didn't I say that South Sudan and Puerto Rico will be our opponents, either in the second round or in the classification? I did not say that South Sudan will be out early. What did I say was that South Sudan will be most likely Gilas opponent either rounds.

I did not say that China will make it into the second round. Gilas has been playing with (against) China with almost the same players for a very long time now. The familiarity is already there.

Before you comment, read and understand the post.

Yes… check your post there… possible opponents are South Sudan and Puerto Rico… you’re too high on China aahhh… hhhmmm!!! As if those two teams are not familiar in each other.. those two rosters already playing together for years…in fact, they used their rosters since the 1st window of qualifiers back in 2021… so familiarity is already there… what was china did so far? They lose badly to non World Cup entry Croatia twice, lose to Slovenia team B squad and lose badly too to Italy… they only beat is Cape Verde, who might be the weakest team in entire 32 team field event…

Check your facts first before you comment… you too high on China eh they were doing nothing yet so far!! In terms of preparation among Asian teams, it’s jordan who do great so far, beating Mexico, and almost beat Czech Republic… as if your reading comprehension is great too… peace yoh!!!!

If sbp wilking to shell money they need to entice either bahamas or puerto rico to tune up with the team
