The game with Mexico has already have a set schedule, August 21, while the Puerto Rico game according to Chot is still in talks, if it will push through, they play the Puerto Ricans first as them and Gilas are both in China by that time for their respective pockets tournaments

would rather have a combination of pba ineligibles ,college standouts and FSA's or those newly recruited one and done players, heck ill even take a tune up against bay area

i only take CStand, BGR, Mikey , Marcio, Arvin and Gray from PBA Pringle is a little washed right now, while the rest college standouts

​Yeah, true. The guys you mentioned aretty much the only quality competition these days. I think Marcio should have been part of the pool instead of Pogoy. And yeah, I forgot about Miah. He was good in the Commissioner's Cup, OK two-way player.

As for college standouts, maybe Will Gozum, Mason Amos, CJ Cansino, Nic Cabanero, Francis Lopez, maybe guys like Cagulangan and Jacob Cortez.

If and if they can be joined by FSA's or if not they can ask bay area if they can borrow powell and nicholson , i remember in 2009 the national team lost against pba all stars backed by pba imports, and there was also a game were they faced the imports of each teams, the pba guys i mentioned, and college players you mentioned and imports, is a decent tuneup opponent compare to full PBA squad, as some players like hodge and belga are reckless enough that can injure other players

Canada is easily top 3 or 5 on paper with the talent that they have but sometimes it really don't translate in the court, they even have a better team than some European powerhouses its just those team beat them when it comes to chemistry and system

They should make a tune up games vs Bay Area Dragons to simulate the play of China... Philippines vs China possible classification match might be the biggest game for PHL basketball history.. So SBP should make agreements with BAD to have a tune up game, Especially they said they need more tune up games, rather than Taiwan or Indonesia... PHL are not in level of those teams...
 
You dont battle teams that hasnt even started their training camp (Bay Are Dragons, the best teams they can battle are teams that will play in oqt or sadly pba on tour teams..) And another the big 3 college teams (UP, DLSU,ADMU)

International players taking over the sport and increase international competitions… don’t tell NBA can easily dispatch FIBA since they are both the biggest institutions of basketball world… the reason why volleyball is just only 6th most popular because even it is Olympic sport and have international competitions is because no prominent professional leagues for volleyball, maybe there are but not as big as NBA in basketball or IPL in cricket…

NBA still doesn't care that much,its too close to opening season,they're protecting their star players from getting hurt or tired legs syndrome,no star player no expensive paying butts on the seat and no merchandise buyers either.Besides,Americans are seasonal sports fans and basketball is not fall and winter sports.As far as scouts are concerned,they probably in baseball and football mode.
