he’s coming from a injury though and his self confidence is at a all time low, but yeah a messed up simmons with the kardashin curse is still better than 90% of competition in the FIBA worlds.

If his back loosens up he will know he is better than 99% there.

So Simmons is a Boomers rookie , the idea of simply plugging in Simmons and making him the main guy is super counter intuitive of how you build national teams.
ben js essentially Baynes replacement, a much more versatile player though

You would be suprise thst even if Steven Adams joins the Tall Blacks his role won't be main guy espeically on offense , New additions have to fit in , established systems

If we successfully get an exemption for Mike, I think he might render Japeth expendable for the WC and beyond, or replace AJ in case of unavailability.​ In addition, he can play in the B.League.

Mike will provide interior defense, which we sorely lack, athleticism, and hustle. Despite being 6'8", his length, athleticism, and motor can compensate.

Really I'm for AJ and Phillips and retire Junmar and Japeth for WC, thats if the PBA is emenable

I'm all for retiring June Mar, honestly. I think he's done as a Gilas player. He's still a defensive liability, but the difference is his offense cannot compensate anymore, unlike before. Thanks for his service, but time to give way.

As for the PBA being amenable, well, they should cooperate schedule-wise and availability-wise, and accept that most of our best FIBA players are not playing there anymore.
 
Another possible destination for AJ is Greece…. He speak rudimentary Greek so his transition there won’t be diificult…

NP pool: JC, Brownlee, Kouame

I prefer a solid defensive team, so rim protection at center is crucial. So are Dwight, Scottie, Malonzo, and to an extent Parks, as they can defend. Add some talent, and it's good.

I'd choose just one of Bolick and RJ as the 18th man. Just had a hard time leaving one in without the other. Bolick's faster, and RJ's a better shooter.

If Philipps is eligible , would you choose him ? Or rephrase question , if could only get 1 exception concession, and reasonable choices are Koon , Balugkay , Philipps , any 17 year old with a passport already.. who would u pick

not gonna happen but I pick Ron Harper Jr. if remember correctly, he got his passport after his 16th bday.
