Yeah, it's fine. Just, last time we had a political discussion this heated, ayun, a thread got locked.

Anyways, I hope your confidence in our team for 2023 isn't misplaced. We should be better. Hope Kai might have a major role, more rim running plays called for him. Hope more of those plays would be called for AJ as well. We need to make better use of our bigs.

Agree. Imagine if Kai and Aj will only be used as abangers. That will really be disappointing.

But knowing Coach Chot is a fan of Kai, maybe he will give him a bigger role. as for AJ, depends on his health, but yeah hopefully more plays for him. For both of them actually especially in pick and rolls/pops.

I feel Kai and Aj (fully healthy) are ready to be the second or third option in next year's world cup.

I think offensively, Dwight and Carl might take precedence over AJ.

But, yes, I hope they're encouraged to cut to the rim more.

Dwight maybe. Doubt a little bit on Tamayo.

But if AJ will be healthy, I prefer Kai and AJ to be main options.

I posted a question the other day. Bka lng hnd mo nabasa. Anyway, eto yung tanong

what's the academic prerequisite for an MBA?!

basic requirement is bachelor's degree (be it BS or BA), some institutions require 1 year work experience before being admitted to the MBA program..(MBA as in Master's in Business Administration?). You may be required to enroll undergraduate courses before being admitted if some of the courses at the graduate level require you to enroll pre requisite courses offered in the undergraduate programs

AJ is a variable that could have the most significant impact on the outcome of the final 12 roster. I hope he fully recovers in time.

17yo Kai Sotto and 19yo Aj Edu displaying great chemistry days before the tragic 1st day of fiba u19 World Cup where Aj gets his ACL torn. Two very tall kids playing alongside, not clogging up the paint but or making the offensive sets stagnant but, instead opening up opportunities for each other. Perfect complement to each other I pray Aj will stay healthy from now on and will be back on track.

And if AJ recovers, stays healthy, and becomes a good defender for Toledo, he would be a big help on defense, and maybe continue the defensive team we've had since last year, and maybe one of our anchors. If we can continue one thing that Tab started, it's defense. Hope Chot can keep that in mind.

I hope he can stay healthy.

Yes, a healthy aj can be the defensive anchor. Kid has good length, decent hops, above average mobility and good motors, also has good timing- the ingredients to a great defender. But he was also shooting well in those tuneups. Also cuts well just like what raven cortez was milking on when he played alongside Kai. Aj is the stronger finisher, I’d say. Potentially a Massive impact for Gilas

He'll be available by July and August, which is around offseason time. I think we should try to integrate him in those windows. That's 4 games, so good enough.

As for offense, I hope that our guards can see him when he rolls off PnR or he just cuts to the rim. That's an great lob target there. Or, if he's a good shooter, just a PnP guy or spotting up. If he's to be an option for FIBA, Chot has to get used to involving him in the offense.

I was hoping to get the answer from RDs but, yep, you are correct, you have to at least have an undergraduate degree (bachelor’s) or the equivalent of it.

But why was I asking that? Well, because some people, apparently, have been misled to believe by the traditionally rotten media that this special diploma from Oxford is, just like what it would be here in the Philippines, a special course or a certificate. But how come “Marcos Jr” was accepted at Wharton for an MBA? Apparently, a special diploma from Oxford is, at least, equivalent to a bachelor’s degree.

Now, I can agree, let’s go BACK TO REGULAR PROGRAMMING.

Technically no the common wealth education system differentiates a diploma qualification from an undergraduate degree qualification.
They are 2 different qualifications and do not have a Philippine equivalent (different system)

Diplomas:*Usually take about 1 – 2 years*| Degrees: Usually take 3 – 4 years. ... Diplomas: Have an exit point, so you can graduate with a qualification sooner | Degrees: You'll dedicate to 3 years to become qualified with a bachelors degree

Again you're are misinformed

i feel sad for AJ, so many injuries at a very young age, I hope this injuries would not derail his development, ACL and knee injuries are too concerning

Hope he makes the final lineup next year, and joins Gilas for windows. We need to integrate him too. Could Chot make him a component of his offense, and would someone teach him on defense?

To be honest his position will be tough. In Wing Position???

He will fight for his spot against:

Oftana, Navarro, Dwight, Thirdy, Wright, Pogoy, Perez, and maybe Parks, Tuffin and Quiambao if they will join.

But let's see. Anyway, at least he should be in the pool. The players in the pool will prove to coach chot and staff who are the most deserving anyway

Pogoy, Perez, and Thirdy should frankly be off-guards at the world level, and Wright, Dwight, and Parks' natural position is off-guard. So really, he'll only be competing against Oftana and Navarro, which is tough competition too.

Lopez' advantage, ang sa akin lang, though offensively, his skills right now is that of a SF, defensively, he has the quickness to defend against guards. Sakin lang, he has the physical strength to play forward and the quickness kaya pag bumaba sya sa ground err sa shooting guard, he won't be a liability on defense

Somebody just has to train him on man and team defense. He's still raw on that end, but with enough training, he has the potential to be one of our better defenders.

Speaking of Raven Cortez, it would be nice to have him. Good cutter, and potentially a good defender. Hope he could go for the windows, along with some of his La Salle teammates like Kevin Quiambao, Jonnel Policarpio, Evan Nelle, and Ice Hontiveros. Maybe some of them could be good enough to crack the final lineup.

I remember Perez, in an interview, said he's practicing to play PG, that he needs to transition to that in order to be more effective for the national team. IDK what the progresses are but i think his tandem with Bollick was pretty good. That's Bollick on point and him on SG

In the PBA, he's mostly an SF/SG. He's focusing more on scoring than getting his teammates involved, especially recently, since he has Terrence Romeo, Chris Ross, and until recently Alex Cabagnot, who can be playmakers to one extent or another, as teammates.

Yup. How interesting. Sa bigs pa nga halos walang competition

You know Kai, AJ, Ange, and if you consider Balti and Tamayo to be almost always a shoo in.

Guards and Wings, I feel we are increasing our pool of possible quality players for gilas.

Actually, I am a little worried about preparation.

Kai Sotto and JC (hope he or ange becomes local) will probably be hugots because of International Commitments.

AJ Edu, this is his last year in US NCAA, I doubt he will go pba. He would (and I hope) probably go overseas. But I hope he also considers being a full time gilas player if he is not yet 100% healthy to play overseas.

Then as you said the pba players. Oftana, Bolick, Perez, and (Troy and Pogoy)(because of coach chot)

Baltazar after his last year with DLSU is probably be a pba gilas special draftee. or also play overseas.

Tamayo and Juan would probably be available.

B league players Dwight, Thirdy, Kiefer, and maybe Parks would probably be available.

So yeah, Availability and Preparation will be a challenge this upcoming World Cup.

Master's degree next school year..

If you consider PF a big spot, there's a chance of competition. Apart from AJ, Balti, and Tamayo, you have guys like Quiambao, Raven Cortez. Pero oo nga, apart from them, not many serious contenders. We might see more competition in that spot in the future.
