Chot still in love with midget basketball. Tsk tsk

If ur best player, best clutch performer, and best scorer from 2013 to present are all below 6'0, why would u not?

Toroman's small ball was worse and baldwin's deferred to his 2-pg lineup both in 2015 fiba asia and 2016 qualifiers. If coaches who are regarded as superior to chot in methods and strategies see some positive in it, why would chot fall out of love from smallball?

Perez and bolick seems taller than thirdy so thirdy might just be 6'0 to 6' 1 only. And tratter is below 6'5.

I'm pretty sure Thirdy is around 6'2.

no one can possibly be shocked more by chot's past midget nt selections than i. chot's past midgets simply did not have international-grade athleticism and shooting to justify being considered elite players. and chot included midgets in all positions!!! chot must have mellowed somewhere along the way, as he now recognizes bansots can only create bansot-sized results.

and yes, toro-man's smallball is bullshitty. euro running with no euro outside shooting versatility and shot-selection quality makes no sense at all.

this 23 for 23 has a lot more upsides and not too "midgety". their early identification means these young guys know they must step up their games this early or they would just become embarrassments. they also need to warfight with pba teams this early so that they know the rites of passage to manhood in pinoy ball. leaving them to practice too long in uaap high school and college ball will NOT help at all. the quality of uaap and ncaa games is very low.

if he gets a good 6-7 from this set , maybe 4-5 win/championship-ferocious vets from the pba for stability, and one more nba-grade naturalized center to neutralize great aussie/korean/euro centers, 2023 will be a very good year. and chot can retire in a blaze of glory.

As this is taken lying down it is padded by around 0.2 to 0.3 inches. But the wingspan is more important at 6'3". Thats decent for Asian level PG. From the picture Thirdy looks 2 to 3 inches taller and with much longer arms. Thirdy needs to transition to SG to be more effective internationally. But his athleticism and physicality seems to be pro level. Ala Jeron Teng.

Perez is around 6'2 or 6'1 but his wingspan seems to be average at best. He is much more skilled than Abueva but doesnthave the length.

It has always been my personal opinion that its franz pumaren with dlsu who really made small ball a ttend and to great success.other college teams followed and many cagers stuck to it even in d pros as pba coaches also adapted it.heck, even tab does so in admu. Tab adapted.

Small ball in our national team will die a natural death less becos of chot or any smallball coach changing his brand but more on our player with size playing great ball so that depending on undersized but talented guards and wings is unnecessary.

Same with age. If d 2023 pool players do not shape up as envisioned, expect chot to add at least 2 30ish players, max of 4.

Perez is around 6'2 or 6'1 but his wingspan seems to be average at best. He is much more skilled than Abueva but doesnthave the length.

But he is more of a leaper than abueva and can really play pg and not just good in ballhandling.

Toroman beat iran during its peak with Gilas 1, and he also beat a Fadi El-khatib-led Lebanon. And Fadi destroyed Chot's Gilas last Fiba asia. With Toroman, you also know that even with his small line up, his tactics are impecable. Toroman knew how to use the post. Toroman had to get midgets because he had no choice. Chot has a wider pool of players and still chose midgets.
