Vecchio has high hopes for World Championship

"We will host the Centrobasket Championship (from July 4-8) which is a qualifier for the 2008 Olympic Games. And playing in that tournament is a motivation for everybody," he said.

"At the moment, our objective is to reach the Centrobasket final. Then it will be to win it. And after that, we will think about the FIBA Americas Championship (which begins on July 10) where we can make history."

Panamanian federation looks like they are assembling a team this time. They are even talking about winning a CentroBasket where the top players have said that they are interested in attending (Najera, Quinteros, Watson, Arroyo, Ayuso...etc...)

do they have a real option? any one know the any new names for team Panama? do they have a list for the WBC?

there are 2 tournaments for the Centra America Zone this year

CentroBasket starts july 4. Ends in July 8

I dont have a clue for the Central American games
