The NBA has become overly focused on being "woke," which has led to a softer, less intense game. Since the era of Shaq and Tim Duncan, the league's mentality has shifted in ways that undermine the effectiveness of big men and purposely downplay the value of strong, physical players. It's the only major league in the world that has taken such a direction. Meanwhile, FIBA games are far more exciting, filled with intensity and drama, whereas the NBA often feels like a glorified scrimmage. The rules make it incredibly difficult for defense to be effective, and this has contributed to the decline of elite big men in the U.S. today

Agreed. The NBA's defensive three-second violation heavily favors offensive players and inflated NBA game scores. The other thing that turned me off about the NBA was when the Lakers drafted Bronny, which screams nepotism from a mile away. So the NBA is telling us that 6'1 Lebron Jr. with a mediocre college career is worthy of being picked over a 7'3 Asian kid who has a basktball IQ and can shoot and defend? Are we gonna see more of these second-generation NBA players getting drafted because of their dads' reputation instead of their actual basketball skills?

Who among harris( american forward) and lewis(guard) is the legit naruralized for qatar hehe, robert do you know?

And not only getting drafted. Bronny got signed on a regular roster spot with 4 years guaranteed contract! Ni hindi 2 way spot eh. Rarely does it happen on a very low end second round pick.

But yeah, perks of being the son of a LeBron James.

However, I think It's only a matter of time before Kai gets signed by an NBA team. His game is trending upwards and his physically maturing as well.

Why on a hell FIBA allow Harris and Lewis playing together? Harris was born in New York and no Qatari blood and Lewis was born in St. Louis.. This is mockery... Filipino fans should know this Qatar's mockery of rules

He is a generational Asian Player.

Actually, if we remove Australia and New Zealand. As in pure Asia countries only

I think Kai is the Second best Local Asian Player in Fiba Asia behind Rui Hachimura (Excluding Imports and Nba players of Australia and New Zealand)

Thoughts on the Chinese kid Hansen Yang? Projected late 1st round or early 2nd round pick.

Moves well for a big and his skillset is being compared to Jokic. Do you think Kai will have a hard time on him?

And what happened to Zhou Qi? The supposed to be torch bearer of Yao Ming and Haddadi. He's not a National team mainstay now for team China?

I'm also often watching NBA nowadays.. Better watch Euro league... Every game there like a playoff atmosphere...

Yup. I honestly saw more Barcelona basketball games than Miami Heat matches last season

Doesn't help the Heat isn't good right now. Well, the East sucks in general, so...

OT: Just watch Qatar now, they field 2 Americans on the same floor.. Tyler Harris and Mike Lewis are both US born players... How FIBA allowed this? Only 1 naturalized player can field per team...

Same way they hosted the WC in 2022 and now basketball WC.

Bribed their way in.

Zhou Qi had the measurables to be a decent NBA player. But they say he looks stiff and doesnt look like he really enjoys the game. They also said he was overaged.

What about that Hamad Mousa kid? Is he playing for their national team? I saw him part of some of the mock draft for 2025(projected 2nd rounder)

Philippines is red hot, Japan is exciting but imo now, Lebanon is the gold standard of asian basketball.. Tim Cone trying to copy the core blue print of Lebanon.. same players.. spellman in his best shape ever. Arakji in his peak physically and mentally

Iran won by default.. I don't know what happened to Kazakhstan... What's happening to them?

Lebanon are sloppy today.. they just toying UAE.. but UAE still on the game...

It's not that way.. many players who are on high caliber us NCAA schools are not lucky to be that way.. maybe you forgot Kobe Paras, who is supposed to be UCLA varsity player but now become a disappointment.. that's very high us NCAA basketball program.. it's on player's determination if they want to be successful...where is Greg Oden? Or Andrew Bennett? I see Korea and Iran might be cut among 9 too contenders to get that world cup slot in 2027...

you might forgot we have several division 1 school players whom played in mid major schools and avg. around jarin Stevenson (for now) but they made an impact on our team (ramos, edu).. and soon QMB

Surely Jarin Stevenson will make an impact with Koreans and among the 3, jarin plays in high major conference (SEC)..
