In next cycle, a veteran lee hyung jun, yeo jun seok (gonzaga guy) and jarin stevenson as NP (korean american )

Jarin Stevenson is not that good.. his NCAA stats are not impressive.. why not hire imports there playing in KBL as their next naturalized? They have that option...

wow I never thought we handedly defeat a team who made 18 threes.. so is japan 3 point juggernaut really enough to beat gilas?

You should Watch him play if you have time. this is his only his sophomore season..

More of a ties, his father is the former NP of the SoKor. Technically, he has a korean background even though he has no korean blood. He spent his childhood in Korea when his father was the NP.

Gilas will just manhandle japan. They are our whipping boys and it will be the same with this Gilas. They dont have any advantage in their lineup against us. Newnew will have a field day against Yuki and yuki will have his worst nightmare on offense.

Day 1 results

Japan 93 - Mongolia 75
South Korea 86 - Indonesia 78
Taiwan 85 - Hong Kong 55
Philippines 93 - New Zealand 89
China 101 - Guam 53
Australia 101 - Thailand 48

Let’s not get too big headed, NZ is in a transitional period and half the team was new and young, still almost won near the end against a good Gilas team that has been together for a while now.

NZ doesnt have any player outside that team who would really be a game changer. You could only play 5 players and illi is just similar to webster. Waddy is better than wetzel who was weak on the defensive end.

The only significant upgrade would be Adams but he isnt a takeover type of player. i will still pick kai/Aj over any big combo of NZ including adams.

AJ compliments Kai and they both elevate their game together.

But not as good as Ricardo Ratliffe.. if I were KBL officials, there are many imports overseas playing in KBL they can choose... I heard the rumors that they want to hire former phoenix import Jonathan Williams.. what happened?

What happened to the rumors of Jonathan Williams as next NP for them?

Now its time for KQ, Mason, Calvin, CJ and Karl (though Tim seems to trust him enough) to play lots of minutes against HK, if they cant win against them then maybe We should look for other players. hopefully Ange plays as well, Brownlee doesnt need a warmup, he is always ice cold.

Waddy is 25 then flynn is 24. Mas bata pa sila Kai, KQ, and Carl. That NZ team was way better than the OQT version. They may not be a fixture for the tallblacks but they were already NBL starters. NZ bball is tight knit as per their fanboys. Chemistry and familiarity with the players and system is not an issue.

That makes him eligible as local if he was born in Korea.

Don't think he was born there. He is already a kid when his father played in SoKor. He has the same situation as Ajani Jones actually (son of TNT import Terrence Jones) but Ajani is qualified to be a local because of his filo blood.

It's not as easy as you think. It took awhile for ratliffe to be NP for SoKor

KBA needs to look for a Kor-Am to shore-up their roster. I think it's much faster than naturalizing a foreigner there. They will be in trouble against Australia if they don't.
