Newsome/CJ needs to focus on Webster who went 9/15 no matter what we did. The game would go so different if he is present imo because Shea would definitely torch Ramos and Oftana, giving Webster, Vodanovich and Waardenburg much more space. Let's just hope we keep improving from here on out, no use being complacent.

thats correct, lets just have that test when we paly tall balcks at new zealand..hopefully fiba ranking improve also

hahaha the sarcasm of the 15 three pointers in exchange of locking the other avenues of tall blacks offense

I love how you're making this into an anti-CTC narrative when Croatia lost against New Zealand. Idk if you're overrating gilas or you're a Chot minion, New Zealand is a fucking strong team especially for Asian standards

You just make a guess pre..CTC really made this team a feel good experience for us fans

OT: with the way Indonesia doing great in their game vs Korea.. what will be their higher ceiling when Bolden and DMX there alongside Grahita, Saputera and others? I think they are now slowly getting there.. if they bring that line up against Thailand last window, they could have won the game...

Robert, Korea played bad..if you watch the game, yous ee how korea sucked whole game

I underestimated China. They just crushed earlier by 48. I only have them win by 32 points.

Guam should now be aware that they are in the Asian-level competition and teams here are notches higher than they are playing against in the Pacific Games as well as in the pre-qualifiers.

Korea looks lost for a while now I think

Also they don't have a prospect at all, aside from Yeo Jun Seok who is having a garbage time in Gonzaga. Their upcoming NP, Jarin Stevenson, looks like a role player at best in Alabama.

would you trade Kai being a bench guy or token minutes guy in the NBA or playing in another league that he will have minutes and in game experience?

depends on the exposure..he needs nba level physical training..

Team NZ B BS.lol Gilas with AJ, balti/heading then QMB would be a way different animal. Kai and AJ together could be like Corregidor. It would be an impenetrable fortress in Asia-Oceana. Kai with QMB would also be okay. Webster isnt too far from ILLI and gilas has a world class import stopper in newnew. Newsome is upper tier PG in asia-oceana that excels on both ends.

Nz tried to exploit jmf defense today but that wont be possible with Kai and Aj or QMB. Wetzel/Waddy/Harrison are all too inferior than Kai plus AJ then that would be too much. Kahit sino pang dalhin ng Nz it would be the same story lalo na nanalo na tayu. Gilas' confidence will be at an all time high next time.

SoKor is still in transition period. They'll be good in next cycle 28-31

Will be interesting if this will be Australias core come Asia Cup.. Rocco Zikarsky and co.

Maybe yes, but let's be real, Korea are now declining.. teams now know how to defend against them.. the problem of Korea is that they have no other options if their shooting are not working.. without Ratliffe or any naturalized bigs, Koreans are too one dimensional... And we have to give credit for Indonesia.. Di porket underdogs sila then they have no right of getting an upset? And they are playing in Korean soil...that's disappointment for them... Lamang pa nga sila ng 5 in that 6 min mark of 4th.. somehow, their lack of bigs exposed them in last mins of 4th .. if DMX is there and Bolden, that upset will happen... DMX is like their AJ Edu for Indonesia.. very good defender in his size... And Bolden is their best naturalized option if he's available...

Basketball, I heard, has been declining in popularity in Korea.

They have to adopt other plays outside their shooting.. teams and players now are more athletic defending shooters.. Japan are shooters too but they are more fluid than them.. they have more options if their shooters and not in good rhythm... Maybe hiring foreign coach too?

In next cycle, a veteran lee hyung jun, yeo jun seok (gonzaga guy) and jarin stevenson as NP (korean american )

I don't think popularity is one of the reasons.. many countries in the world not consider basketball as their main sport but they are doing well.. it just their current players are not that good compare to that past generations.. and also they are too much sticking jacking threes... Players today are more athletic compare before.. they can defend multiple positions.. that's why they have hard time jacking threes.. and if they are missing, they have no other options.. maybe they need to hire dominant big naturalized again to save their ass... If not, they are in trouble...
