Not really. My take is that he has to produce those numbers against legit NBA guy on the FIBA stage to be noticed. NZ has no legit 7-foot NBA guy on their roster.

I don't what you mean by hindi naman parati. This is already Kai's habit. But I would gladly take it as an exchange for his good game like this, lol.

He is like Brownlee or RHJ, unlucky NBA dreamer but legendary guy in international competitions (FIBA)... Sometimes being in the NBA is not guarantee.. actually I don't care if we will never have an NBA player.. I don't dream that.. my dream is to be champs in Fiba Asia cup and Olympic stint.. that is all that matters...

Did not realize he already got a team. I remember their magical run in that U17 WC, where our youth team also had a magical run in a disastrous way.

Don't do that, it just his set of players are not good defensively... Chot's 2013 team are good thou.. defensive minded players.. who are our best defender in 2017? An old Norwood and undiscipline Abueva.. Romeo, Wright, Fajardo, Almazan are terrible defender... In 2013 we have prime Pingris, prime Norwood, RDO and guys like Fonancier, Chan are underrated defenders.. I think we should more focus taking 2 way players than offensive minded players but terrible defendera...

Shea Ili scored 18 against the Croatians on 6/9 shooting, without that guy it'll always be a team B, I'm being generous by not including Wetzell and Terangi because I think Brit and Waardenburg were decent substitutes

What do you want a player who does not care? A nonchalant one like a D'Angelo Russell? Using that emotion sometimes can help na magising din yung teammate niya to throw the pass next time he is wide open. Can't make a hooper a robot.

Nah, then don't do the hypothetical as well na if Chot is the coach then nz wont get that 12 3 pointers.

Only impressive Fiba world cup or Olympics stint is the only chance for Kai to get his NBA dream... NBA scouts are not watching those qualifiers game...
 
Kai still performs well in Gilas than in his b league team (despite seeing kai having 20 10 numbers in b league na), in gilas biggest wins (LAtvia and new Zealand) he looked like the best plyer not playing oin nba.. Zach edey a canadian bench warmer played well in memphis

Newsome/CJ needs to focus on Webster who went 9/15 no matter what we did. The game would go so different if he is present imo because Shea would definitely torch Ramos and Oftana, giving Webster, Vodanovich and Waardenburg much more space. Let's just hope we keep improving from here on out, no use being complacent.

Well, that's why getting 2 way players is more important than getting offensive minded players.. we should now forget the likes of RJ Abbarientos, SJ Belangel, Matthew Wright or Ray Parks... We need guards who are very good defenders.. I'm ok with 5'9 PGs but he has to be very good defensively just like Campazzo or Kawamura... Otherwise forget it
