NZ will be well prepared for the same pace and players that played against Latvia, hope CTC won't be as predictable as Chot and is able to squeeze some extra fuel out of the same team

The only way they'll win is if the team manages to keep the game close without over relying on JB or Kai for offense. Dwight being cold and passive, Junemar being clamped, Tamayo/KQ being taller baldog bros and CJ/Scottie being turnover machines is one way I can see this going if I'm being honest. I'd probably still bet on NZ if money is on the line lol

Im sure politicians running for office this year would want their face on probably the biggest basketball game this year, (sorry UAAP fans)

Sayang .. that game could be more festive if this is a Sunday game... Many fans are on free time.. Gilas vs Hong Kong game on Sunday is a boring match...

OT, what betting sites are you partial with, Robert?

Just side betting with my friend who is agent of some betting sites... I betting with "Parlays", betting 100 and winning up to 12k, if all of your bets will hit right... Last Olympics, I just able to win some matches, including against team USA.. higher odds are too risky to bet, unless teams are too weak..

The article has no byline (Although this reads like Homer Sayson) so Ill believe when I see it. Its good news though. If true hell end up in Japan. Teams there want bigs.

We can only confirm it 100% if he will be able to suit up w/ Gilas in real time... But true, B league teams will offer him once he confirm as Fiba eligible... And PBA will have no answer for this...

Their line up improved a lot.. few years before, only Jakrawan their own big taller than 6'7.. now they have 3 6'8 guys but still not enough.. they need more international exposure...

No Tai Wesley and Curtis Washington for them.. their offense will likely go thru Earnest Ross...

Weird that there is no Morgan and Lamb. Those two will provide length, athleticism and scoring at the wing position for Thailand.

Gilas x Meralco tune-up game today
Final score is 96-82 in favor of Gilas
No Brownlee for Gilas. Meralco had Akil Mitchell as their import plus Ange.

Kai's stat line is pretty much encouraging.
11 points
10 rebounds
5 blocks
1 assist
25 minutes

Three of those block shots were against Mitchell. That kind of rim protection and defensive intensity is what we need consistently from Kai. Scoring in double digits will be a bonus as long as he anchors the defense and be a decent rebounder.

Unless Alfrancis make him an offer he can't refuse. Lol

Especially since they went through the trouble of getting exemptions for them so they could play as locals.
