Curious what's the usual appearance of the instigators? I imagined most of them are having fuck faces right?

Someone should educate them about the Katulong stereotype of our people and the recent insult/joke thrown at our women by a K*r*n vlogger.

fuccboi party types in their early 20s apparently money cant buy class and they had the audacity to claim that us pinoys have the n-word pass

its degrading ah, imagine being a phd holder then some random drunk shouts the n-word at you like a fratboy

So basically 9 teams are probably assured to get thru Asia cup easily, plus Saudi as host.. I still don’t trust Kazakhstan… they are the “introvoys” of FIBA competition.. always have a good start but will fumble in the latter part of competition…

In Group A, Australia and Korea are surely will get the top 2 spots for automatically qualification.. while Thailand has already upper hand vs Indonesia for 3rd place finish for next round of competition… Indonesia have to win vs Thailand by more than 17 pts to steal Thailand’s place… other wise, then say good bye to Asia cup for Indonesia…

In Group B, NZL and Philippines already have advantage, As they are both 2-0 and probably will take the top 2 finishers for Automatic slot next year… Taiwan will be favored to win vs Hong Kong, especially if they bring better players than the recent one

In Group C, Japan and China are the favorites but Guam might have steal the party… I think Guam has a tools to match up against China, since in terms of size, they are not underdogs, In fact their bigs are much stronger than Chinese bigs… my only problem for Guam is they have to fix their system.. 1 on 1 style of basketball will not work in FIBA.. Mongolia might be the odd man out here…

China will beat Guam even worse than Japan.

The fried chicken stereotype is an anti-Black racist trope that has its roots in the American Civil War and traditional slave foods. The most famous public figure that got in trouble was Sergio Garcia when he made a comment about fried chicken to Tiger Woods. So what would be the argument if the plaintiff is a FilAm,living in Filipino soil of his complain of a hate crime, would it stick or the court will just consider it a Filipino against Filipino regardless of race and ethnicity.

i think it was even pre-civil war, its due to the plantation way of life in the southern states where slaves only had access to certain foods - chickens, collared greens and watermelon the most notable ones, thus the association. heck i was in memphis once and people still cringe when one mentions grape juice.

Well his version of the story is kinda disappointingly bad and not well thought of. Is he still drunk we he came out with that story? And Marcial just ate it all up..

Yeah I don't see Guam upsetting China in the next 5 years.

Guam made it look competitive FOR A WHILE against Japan because the latter's frontline are tall and skilled but a bit thin and less physical.

They no longer have the heft advantage over China. Chinese players are LONG, something Guam has yet to faced, and SKILLED. Sure, Chinese players are a bit slow for Japan but not so much against Guam. So everything that Guam has been using against either weaker, shorter, OR less physical team will be no used against a team like China - they are all offset.

a lot of inconsistencies in Jamie's story. Anyway I think its time to move this discussion in PBA related threads..

I think you didn’t notice that Guam’s bigs are tough, physical and grind out bigs, something that Chinese bigs are not for… They are bangers down low, I’m sure guys like Tai Wesley, Galloway and even Ross will make those Chinese bigs fool inside… Guam could have a chance against Japan if they adjust when Japan made a run late in the 3rd… This is what Guam is not address until now, their coaching staff could be the weakest among all 24 participating teams.. None of them have experience coaching even at professional level… they still not figure out until now to level up and make themselves into a real contender… I hope in November, they need to hire very experience international coach to assist coach Calvo, his team have talent that can match up every real Asian teams, but his coaching sucks big time, worst than IBN favorite Chot Reyes…

Upset is still possible, if they figure out important having a good coach alongside Calvo, their roster is good, Very talented and can par with Asia’s best… but are not playing team oriented basketball, too much ISO plays, too individualistic… If they figure those problems, they are very tough team…

China will beat japan if they gone 2 big but Chinese needs to improve their speed game especially in world level.. they can get away byu being slow and tall in asia and in the world in early 90's but wouldnt cut it anymire

"Guam bigs are tough."

- So as Iranian bigs and Angolan bigs but did these teams win against China? Both Iran and Angola will beat Guam even if I bet on Guam. Being tough does not mean a win. Guam bigs played tough against Japan last thursday but did they win? Last time I checked, they were beaten by 21 points.

"Guam bigs will make Chinese bigs look like a fool."

- Can Tai Wesley, Curtis Washington and Jonathan Galloway make Zhou Qi, Wang Zhelin, and other Chinese bigs look like fools? They may not be as big as Yao Ming but these Chinese bigs are still good. The statement is just an exaggeration.

"Guam could have a chance against Japan."

- No, Guam did not have a chance against Japan. We all know that, at any time, Japan will make a run by hitting those threes and win the game. It already happened against Venezuela and Finland (pretty sure Guam will not beat these teams). One thing about Japan is they are trying to size up their opponents at the start of the game.

For me, saying that a newcomer like Guam can match top Asian teams is bit of an insult against Korea, Gilas, Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, China and Japan.

Tai has been slow sown by age and looks out of shape, Curtis didn't even dominate against 6'5-6'6 centers when he played for NLEX in the PBA thus, the short stint under Yeng. 6'6 Ben Borja looking like a ligang labas version of Rico Villanueva, Galloway is the only decent big they have right now.

Compare that to 7'1 Yang Hansen, 7'1 Zhou Qi, 7'0 Wang Zhelin and 6'11 Hu Jinqiu. These dudes are big and skilled to be look like fools. Japan is playing like a mongoose by beating teams way taller than them.

I didn’t say they are already in Par with those strong teams in Asia… but they have the tools to be in that conversation… As I said, all they need is to change their system, their coaching sucks… individually, their talents are on par already w/ Asia’s best.. Who do you think we can compare Earnest Ross in Asia in terms of scoring Wing? He can even score against Japan and NZL and produce points whoever is guarding him… Galloway is a elite Asian big man, even Kai Sotto will have hard time against Galloway.. Wesley is already past on his prime, But his experience is still there and his moves are hard to stop… Takumi Simon also making his name in Japan B league too.. we also don’t forget Jericho Cruz… Individually, they have the talent.. what they need is a true coach that can elevate their team into real contender, This team needs to play as a team oriented basketball.. but they need a coach to set up that.. coach Calvo has no idea how to make this team a contender… Bring Tab Baldwin in this Guam team, they can easily among in the top 8 teams…

Wang Zhelin sucks in FIBA tournaments… Yang Hansen is not yet proven a good elite big man in Asia… Kai is better than him for now… Zhou Qi is relatively always injured and not 100% as always… If Junmar can post up easily against these Chinese bigs, I think even Galloway and Wesley can do the same.. Chinese bigs are soft as Marshmallow…

You have to check what I post, I did say just have chance to upset China is possible, But nothing has assurances here… If Guam can hang on vs China until 4th, Chances of upset is high for them to beat China.. It’s like we are also saying that we have a chance upsetting teams in OQT in July… it’s not exaggerating bro.. So we can say that for Gilas against European teams that we will face in OQT? This is just observation, And another thing, Guam is not your typical team that we compare to say like Mongolia, Kazakhstan or Bahrain.. of all of the 3rd tier teams in Asia, Guam is the strongest chance to upset teams from 1st and 2nd tiers such as China, Iran or even Gilas, if they looking past on them… This is what new FIBA format stands for.. You even post before that you like the current set up of format unlike in the past.. So this is the reason why FIBA change the format, to give opportunities to the other teams such as Guam, Saudi, Bahrain, etc… to gain experience and to reach the level of those contenders in Asian basketball… Imagine if they have a coach someone like Tab Baldwin will coach this Guam team? I’m assured they can upset teams on Asia cup and surprise everybody… I just no trust on their current coach, Their line up is strong, but poor coaching staff..

China will beat japan if they gone 2 big but Chinese needs to improve their speed game especially in world level.. they can get away byu being slow and tall in asia and in the world in early 90's but wouldnt cut it anymire

That’s why a wing scorer NP is better fit for China than guard NP… they need to speed their game w/o sacrificing height and can score too… A JB like NP suits better in China than getting Powell like NP for them…Their guards are still good TBH… Just need a wing scorer than can do it all for them…
