When you saw the jordan game, you wonder who needs final 12 when jordan played like 9 players with 3 of them being really getting "pangumpleto" minutes idont get the fascination of final 12 with almost equal billing tat was too 1998 or 2004..

and nestor garcia gives you the jaworski era national teams if the ibn ogs knew what I mean.He already applied it to the saudi team..lots of body check, cheap shots..in your face defense that jamie malonzo cant handle (sorry for the pun)

Sometimes it's unavoidable. In the case of Teng, they were not drunk and they were not inside a club/bar. They were walking to their car as an entourage when some guy on the street (with hidden knives) said something offensive to Teng's gf (now wife). It's human nature to engage (especially since they had numbers advantage) but sometimes you just have to walk away.

The assailant ended up stabbing Teng just inches away from vital organs. He could have died.

In the US the popular and expensive clubs have a VIP entrance and exit, where they have their big and sometimes armed bouncers usher in VIPs or protect them, until they get into their ride.VIPs shouldn't even be walking to their car,it should be delivered in the front by a valet service.

still doesn't make the case for oftana being a bad defender, shot was contested and he made it, would've been a different story if he lost oftana in a shuffle and had an open shot

a taiwan player also hit a contested shot in dwight's face to beat the buzzer - does that make dwight a bad or lesser defender?

rds is just salty because his boytoy newsome is not getting a starting role

lol rds probably forgot that newsome got raped by the chinese wings and it was oftana's deflection and steal that set up gilas' winning play

rds is probably a taenean

So the front court defense should be,start right at the line before crossing into the front court, since Gilas players specially the PBA ones have a tendency to drift a little inside than they should be,some sort of a rotating defense, which I've seen before in Gilas but I just can't remember who did it,or how it was implemented,I could be wrong and it might have been in a Batang Gilas team.

Here is a little blow by blow summary of what Snow discussed in his podcast.

-allegedly the guy who took the video was with Malonzo
-according to Snow, the person who punched JM is from ADMU with a background in MMA & sent fillers to spin to give his side of the incident
-allegedly the fight started when the smaller individual commented on JM's/black's love for fried chicken lol, which JM took offense to and threw a sucker punch.

What I don't get is why some of us Pinoys like to joke about racial stereotypes. Are they ignorant of the fact that all racist whites/euro/east asian perceive us the same way they perceive blacks?

Yeah,Malonzo has a case against the dude as a "hate crime",the fact we can all hear him calling Malonzo N****r,doesn't help the guy's case, this will be one for the books if the dude's lawyer argue that its not a hate crime since Malonzo is also a Filipino,so he called him the N word and teased about the fried chicken, because of the color of Malonzo's skin then.

Because chicken is what slave afro americans ate before.. that's racist for them..

this is bgc so teng isnt really a vip..

The fried chicken stereotype is an anti-Black racist trope that has its roots in the American Civil War and traditional slave foods. The most famous public figure that got in trouble was Sergio Garcia when he made a comment about fried chicken to Tiger Woods. So what would be the argument if the plaintiff is a FilAm,living in Filipino soil of his complain of a hate crime, would it stick or the court will just consider it a Filipino against Filipino regardless of race and ethnicity.

JM was in a KFC, might as well could've been a Mang Inasal (which Dwight Howard loves). VIP entrances was useless in his situation. And it didn't matter if JM was drunk or not, that assshole was going to make that remark.

In the case of Teng, they got stabbed when security guards were already present and already momentarily separated the groups. Before that, it was just a brawl.

Sometimes trouble looks for you, you have to know when to walk away.

Or go the politician way of always having armed bodyguards if you can afford it.

I remember that whenever there's a Pinoy celebrity or a sports star eating in a restaurant,no matter what the fans will demand a selfie, even tho its the celebrity's private time, fans get offended somehow and no matter where that's a trait Filipinos will take even overseas. But seriously tho this is a lesson learned that never trust the common folk to help you,so you gotta have a group or bodyguards.

As I said before, A Brownlee or RHJ type of NP for Saudi will elevate them into a real contender for top 8 teams in Asia.. they will be better if they have a reinforcement.. one Lebanese poster says Abdel Gabbar is their naturalized player, but he’s like Pringle or Ross category, half Canadian and half Saudi, but ineligible because he get his passport after 16.. they can already file his exemption case because he’s already representing Saudi for more than 5 years… I’m sure Nestor Garcia aware already that they need a NP to upgrade their chances… Sometimes if they have a scoring drought, they have no scoring option in case of emergency… they are hanging for 28 minutes until RHJ take over the game…

Hafta bring this up, I remember being in a fb spat with the young man's mom way back when DLSU brought him in as one of several one-and-done's because it was a fairly new practice to bring in more than one of those players... they're really in it as nothing more than a stepping stone to the PBA (wala naman kasing pag-asa kahit mag-G. League) and it was actually fair to point out that even if it's not his fault he just had 1-year elligibility, we question if there was gonna be a bit of Animo in there. He wasn't gonna be like a Gaco that was actually beloved in his short time in Taft.

Then the mom starts yapping... if you think robert is a piece of shit, I tried my best to be patient with that woman knowing full-well it was the mom despite yung ugaling alam mo na that makes me (and probably most of you) cringe while reading. Looking back, his son turned out to be a heck of a player worth every second of Danny Seigle's time when he brought him over from the States to La Salle to the PBA to just any SMC team. How he is off the court are grown-man problems. Panindigan nalang niya if he's gonna flex all that Ginebra money and get into fights with thugs til he asks for assistant coaching jobs. But for now, him being unable to play doesn't hurt Ginebra at all... it's just that being part of the Gilas core makes him hard to replace if it comes to dropping him.

So basically 9 teams are probably assured to get thru Asia cup easily, plus Saudi as host.. I still don’t trust Kazakhstan… they are the “introvoys” of FIBA competition.. always have a good start but will fumble in the latter part of competition…

In Group A, Australia and Korea are surely will get the top 2 spots for automatically qualification.. while Thailand has already upper hand vs Indonesia for 3rd place finish for next round of competition… Indonesia have to win vs Thailand by more than 17 pts to steal Thailand’s place… other wise, then say good bye to Asia cup for Indonesia…

In Group B, NZL and Philippines already have advantage, As they are both 2-0 and probably will take the top 2 finishers for Automatic slot next year… Taiwan will be favored to win vs Hong Kong, especially if they bring better players than the recent one

In Group C, Japan and China are the favorites but Guam might have steal the party… I think Guam has a tools to match up against China, since in terms of size, they are not underdogs, In fact their bigs are much stronger than Chinese bigs… my only problem for Guam is they have to fix their system.. 1 on 1 style of basketball will not work in FIBA.. Mongolia might be the odd man out here…

In Group D, Jordan are the favorites, while Iraq might get the 2nd spot since Saudi is already qualified as the host country next year… Palestine will be the odd man out here…

In Group E, Iran and Kazakhstan are both 2-0… but as I said, Kazakhstan is always fumbles when the tournament approaches (INTROVOYS) they are always have a good start but became irrelevant after that… Qatar might get the 3rd spot for next round of qualifiers while India will be odd man out…

In Group F, Lebanon is the clear favorite… while it will be a toss up between Bahrain and Syria for 2nd spot… UAE will be the odd man out here…

My question now for Qatar and FIBA… Will FIBA award Qatar a direct spot as host? in terms of performance, they are not good and their rankings are too low.. it didn’t help that they lose to Non World Cup team like Kazakhstan… It’s a shame if they will give Qatar a spot and they will perform like that, playing in the World Cup is not a charity event… they will lose badly in the World Cup and give Asian basketball community a big shame… Asian zone is the weakest competition level in all 4 continental zones and adding Qatar will not do good for the competition… FIBA should give them the same treatment as Indonesia, So that Qatar will go all out just to be consider… A top 8 spot in the fiba asia cup is a must for them…

her family is one of the biggest diamond suppliers in SEA

edit i thought it was in reference to the wife of JT.

There you go,there should be exemptions sometimes, she could easily say,the possibility of being kidnapped for ransom is high,so she needs more armed bodyguards and anyone even exhibits a potential harm to them should be elminated quickly.

Ive seen a lot of drunk fights in bgc that started due to some drunk cono shouting the N word at fil-ams, there was even a time that we have to restrain my friend (fil-am) who was taunted with racist words while @ bgc

Curious what's the usual appearance of the instigators? I imagined most of them are having fuck faces right?

from the tagalogs you know

Someone should educate them about the Katulong stereotype of our people and the recent insult/joke thrown at our women by a K*r*n vlogger.
