CJ Perez finding out a weak team like Taipei is still stronger than most PBA teams.​

EDIT:

Better now when focusing on defense and passing rather than forcing layups.

With Guiao, he was the leak out guy. With Chot, he was the small ball wing. Here... I really don't know, he can't shoot, he drives into a wall of defenders... maybe to warm Oftana's seat?
 
lol. Kai might've injured that guy. tugged the elbow and foot landed on the ball.
 
106-53. much better, they didn't let up. Taipei just had nothing except to hoist threes and were 10/41.

Actually not really. Perez probably still has the fastest fast twitch muscles in the PBA. However, the international game is mostly screen and roll right now. Fiba bigs are not as switchable as NBA guys. Well Bollick is a better ball handler and decision maker than Perez. But well you know SMC.

this is why I prefer lopez or someone younger, he's so inconsistent and it will only get worse once it's an actual good team
 
Not sure about HK experimenting. Duncan Reid scored double figures in that game and many of those over Kai. Kai still did well but found it harder to score well compared to Taipei. I guess GIlas with Kai is just a bad match up for Taipei. We'll know better against teams with better bigs to match up against Kai.

Cj had 3 steals today. Bolick is a shooting guard with inferior defense and passing
 
Good combination of Newsome, Dwight, Oftana, Brownlee on the floor - perfect compliment for Kai. I can't even imagine if we put AJ with the first four players I've mentioned - you are probably building a defensive wall.

He plays point guard. He has superior handles and vision in that he won't force a layup. CJ seems to be tapa-ojo when it comes to driving. If there's no clear pass he will force a layup. He is not skilled enough to dribble out of trouble.

For sure CTC was experimenting... You know CTC, he wants to see other combinations... We all know we can beat HK more than 30 pts.....
