Toughness and aggressiveness should be relatable traits to Filipinos, since we like those traits in basketball players. Thing is, the aggressiveness and firepower on offense is the most attractive to us when making top teams, not really toughness, aggressiveness, and IQ on defense.

This Korea team made it a game for 3 and a half quarters by just attacking the Boomers defense head-on. Of course Korea still made the right plays, but I really don't see Gilas matching up well against Australia physically seeing how Korea was able to bang bodies with them all game long.

Axtually korea lacks offens ein here.. the defense really was anchored by Ra.. good effort by koreans though

85-71. good effort from Korea right until them Aussie bigs/wings start hitting their threes.

I noticed that Australians maybe a bit shorter than their usual but their heft against the Koreans is pretty noticeable. Koreans look long but leaner.

Good game! nice effort from korea.

I wondering Why Lee Hyun-jung who plays in the NBL didnt play is he injured or wasn't selected?

cardo is the only guy from SoKor who scored double digits for them with 21 points 14 rebounds and 4 blocks

I really like this Korea team. None of the overpassing and chucking that Pinoys got accustomed to. They're just big, tough, very aggressive, and play simple basketball.

6'1 PG, 6'3 SG, 6'7 wing, 6'6 Ratliffe, 6'9 big. That's not big, but they look long especially the guards.

I also like how this team plays on defense and how it's constructed. Big wings and fours, but they don't sacrifice quickness (though they sacrifice heft and strength, which is a big reason why they struggle against big teams like China and Iran).

With these, hope we can learn a thing or two from SoKor in building teams and developing players at the wing and four spots (Kim Jong-kyu, Ha Yungi, and Kang Sang Jae could play 4). Team mentality also, like aggressiveness and discipline on defense, kahit 'yun lang.

Ohhhh NBL has a fiba break right? so he beg off? or was prevented by his team?

Yes but most players for boomers are seldom use players, 1 from b-league, some eliminated teams and from COE. henshall and hunter are the only ones from playoff teams..

Thats maximizing cardo out there..He was missing a lot of shots earlier signalling that the team will live or die by him...

So ibn doesnt have double standards as korea send a kbl selection here (No Dash, no Davidson guy)

Bara-bara MPBL like plays by Guam, and their bigs looks out of shape
