thank God, still not a long term solution for NP though

Which means Junemar and Sotto will be our bigs.

Against Taiwan and HK, it’s okay but we need Edu for the OQT and against NZ.

I don’t trust Junemar and Kai to handle those Euro and Kiwi bigs.

Brownlee won't be our NP for long, but apart from AJ and Ange, he's the only other who can credibly anchor our defense.

AJ can't be our only defensive anchor due to his health. June Mar and Kai are defensive liabilities right now. Erika should be working on an exemption for Mike Phillips and even Ange. sroth3839 brought up BGR too, we'll need his energy on defense. Because, that's the only way that we can credibly field a lineup with an NP that can't anchor our defense.

PBA / SBP will not working for next set of exemption for ineligibles because you know what's next (selfish PBA reasons)!!! Unless they will promise that they will be loyal to the PBA

Exemption is not worth it. The exemptions are granted when the guys are past 30. It makes sense for Fiba not to grant them while the players are young as they will be swamped with exemption requests. Now they are working on Boatright’s naturalization but so far the guy is more of a shooter than an impactful defender.

Lets see if JMF or Kai improve on their defense. Otherwise they have to rethink their NP plans.

Bey is a better defender than Boatwright but he needs to polish his offensive schemes more....

Old man Davis still gonna play?

HK still gonna rely on Reid?

Thais only pool... But Artino will be tap by Taipei, that's for sure... Davis is only assurance if in case Artino is not available or injured... While no release of pool for HK yet..

SoKor have released their 12 for this window. Like us, they're gonna use 12. Unlike us, their 12 are surely intact, I think.

Guards: Oh Jae-Hyun (1999; 186cm) Park Mubin (2001, 186cm), Choi Jun-Yong (1994; 200cm), Lee Jung-Hyun (1999; 189cm), Byeon Jun-Hyeong (1996; 186cm)
Wings: Han Hee-Won (1993; 196cm), Lee Woo-Suk (1999; 196cm), Song Kyo-Chang (1996; 200cm)
Bigs: Ricardo Ratliffe (1989; 198cm), Ha Yungi (1999; 203cm), Kang Sang-Jae (1994; 200cm) Kim Jong-Kyu (1991; 207cm)

Average age of 27.25. Slightly younger than our lineup. They have 5 players born 1999 and earlier, as well as holdovers.

Choi's injured, and it likely puts him out of commission for this window: https://twitter.com/Heoball2/status/1753667950668906966?t=rRhfmbF0fAwDp_Wkgjlzfw&s=19

You got heights for these players?

After qualifiers, Brownlee should play overseas for continuous conditioning... With Ginebra can't use him for All Pinoy conference, Maybe play for some leagues in Japan, Korea or Indonesia.. He needs to get back on shape in time for OQT...

Our starting 5

Scottie
Dwight
Brownlee
Tamayo
Junemar

Oftana will be starter over Tamayo, He was his wing guy back in Asian games, And CTC picks him first in Gilas pool... He's very interested w/ Oftana... JB will play 4 while Oftana at 3...

Oftana provides better balance than Carl, who's not exactly a defensive stalwart (although he can guard the post a bit).

TC migh prefer tall ball with Carl at PF and JB at 3. But it depends on how JF holds up on D. So unlikely. If AJ were there probably. TC will probably try it. Remember he did not have a legit PF in his Gilas teams. He will surely try it. Although as a PF Japeth was probably better defensively than Carl will be.
