Against lowly Hongkong ,2 games, Team B Taiwan and Team C NZ.., Against their Team A if Taipei and NZ, 1/15? If clutch sya sa OBA di sa PBA na lang sya maglaro....Coz FIBA Skati is choker if PBA Skati is clutch

5 players here was on those NZ games back in November. So why did CT able to come close to NZ in first game while we put 40 pts on them.

its weird that the PG position which is usually our greatest strength is now our weakest position...

impressive stint for aj edu vs CT 10 pts 6 rebs vs NZ w/ 7 pts and 15 big rebs 1 block

Venezuela had beaten Argentina's Team A yesterday I think. Overall, its better to see these weaknesses now w/ Gilas than later. To Boss Al, now's the time to make use of influence and get Kouame, Barefield and QMB as locals hehe

May I ask, could Iskati Thompson's unimpressive showing be attributed not only to his suspect shooting (both 3pt & medium range shooting) but also with the fact that he is not really a natural or traditional pointguard?

Ibang-iba kasi nagagawa ng isang natural or traditional point guard eh, especially if we're talking about the national team. A natural point guard has this so called "diskarte" especially when the going gets tough. We've seen that on the likes of Johnny Abarrientos, Jimmy Alapag, Jayson Castro, LA Tenorio. If his other teammates can't seem to get their games going, the Abarrientoses, or the Alapags or the Castros would be more assertive in scoring & would sometimes takeover the game. I didn't see it in Iskati Thompson eh. I mean the Iskati Thompson in Gilas uniform.

Looks like Mongolia is the one that will get the final third place spot in the East.

Can Guam make it a closer game against China?

Whats the magic number china needs to play with( the bookies)

KQ should be a guard, he's 6'3, can see him the same height as Dwight in the elevator video. Don't know what they're doing with the guy looking like a pinoy James Harden in the kbl.

Doesn’t have a tight enough handle and he’s not quick enough to guard guards

Guam should hope China won't play that hard today. If China plays full force, I predict a 30+ pt margin by China.

How can you even conclude that with such a small role and playing time with gilas, maybe they need to start scouting their own players

KBL and Doha, though I’ve been watching him in other events as well, Japan invitational, SGA stint. Plenty of sample size

I think even in the UAAP & KBL, we've seen that KQ's handles eh hindi talaga pang 2-guard. His handles doesn't come close to natural 2-guards like Dwight Ramos, Chris Newsome or CJ Perez.

He was coming off injury. Didn't play in any tuneup games. How about his good performance in this Qualifiers.

If you want iskati as our lead PG with bad shooting percentage moving forward where some good options available be our guest

The style of the players in gilas changes so much from how they play in their pro clubs because of coaching and gameplan, we can only really use their previous games in a gilas uniform as benchmarks which is very very limited, that's the data I was referring to as small.

But to be honest, these non-bearing loses are really timely to address the flaws within the system as well as the personnel changes. I hope that come FIBA-Asia Cup, we can now play without Kai.

We disregard his good performance in NZ game last Nov. We don't even know if the replacement could defend like Scottie

Let's make this an intellectual convo. What will Bolick do if NZ big got switch on him
