For me, this loss is what Gilas really needs for Tim Cone to reconsider things.

I still believe that we can redeem ourselves from this loss. It's just that Taipei wants it more. The team has something to prove.

Another thing, the game highlights the need of another bigman. Neither AJ and June Mar can't provide what Kai can provide for our team. IMO, with Kai's absence, what we need is an energy big - someone that is willing to outhustle everyone (rebounds and defense).

Get a PG already. These bunch of guards won’t cut it. The opponent presses the lanes and it’s an automatic turnover. Bolick’s strength (creating for himself and breaking the pressure) would’ve had come in handy. Heading is also one guy that could playmake, far better than Perez and Oftana combined.

I say retain Scottie and ride Newsome till the wheels fall off, but SBP should reconsider giving Bolick and Heading a chance in lieu of Perez and Oftana.

Oftana retains, better kick KQ.. both are in same position but Oftana is more shooter than KQ and can accept role player position.. KQ can't adjust from being main guy to a role player.. like Oftana, he's also lost on defense too..

Streaky yeam from.we can defeat every team feeling last window.. to can we even beat thailand ? Were struggling and tim.cone needs to experience it to adjust things

this team also needs a court general - someone that can really handle the ball under pressure and can orchestrate offense. the second point guard should be newsome-type - a defensive one. that balanses the team.

for me, the perfect court general should be one between RJ and SJ.

But our pool of bigs is not that huge.. QMB is not yet eligible.. outside of Edu and JMF, there is nothing already.. unless Chiu will get atleast 50% of JMF skills...

We can beat Thailand bro.. its just Korea is on decline these days.. remember they also having hard time beating Indonesia last window at their home

Other than that, I think we could get a good defensive big as our NP, one that can play alongside Kai and AJ, or one that can step in for them. Our locals will have to step up scoring-wise, but we've needed that for a while.

To be fair i dont carw if we lose to thailand as long as the tamayo and quiambao fastrack the maturity..theyare kbl star for f sakes..
Iskati had good game outside shooting the ball as long as its triangle iskti is there if not we should look for rj to do it gao jin wei even have a iskati moment earlier

Iskati had good game except for shooting the ball. as long as its triangle iskti is there , if not we should look for rj to do it. Gao jin wei( stanley tuccis favorite) even have a iskati moment earlier

But men that brownlee and add kai is a hard to beat team we just wanted to have the asiad formula..we should be better than the asiad winning team

They almost paid dearly by subbing out no. 2 for liu cheng

Fast-track is the right term for Carl and Quiambao. Carl just turned 24, and Quiambao turns 24 in April. We need them ready to contribute in the coming FIBA games. And after Dwight and CJ, they're our next-best bets for shot creation.

I'm late to the party. What went wrong?

I expect a losing spell but didnt expect that other guys wouldnt get the burn..

For kiefe if he can be a pg version of jojo lastimosa give him a chance although we need a month long camp to reintegrate people

I just noted the use of the word "kit," that's all. Hahahahahaha.

Heheh

just finished looking at our team’s new uniforms, we dont have any outfitter yet. i just hope that we dont return to those old Accel designs (2003-2006)

In prev asian cup, yeah were losing but somehow they get pt already and produced..since we are on win now mode last 2 years their gilas development( since they were excellent kbl players already) stagnated
Edu had 10 points so no issue iys really some bench spark that we need.. teams expect hell against brownlee..its just no panggulat..even shaq and kobe had supporting cast..no. 69 guy was off the bench spark for taipei..

Tim should trust his bench..

Went from almost beating Georgia, Brazil without Kai to losing against Taipei, fall-off is crazy lol.
