That's why I'm not solve on Boatwright.. He's not go to guy material... SBP really lost on not getting RHJ.. he can be an impact player for us.. a go to guy material and can play both ends.. who cares if he's not excellent shooter, if open he will make it by the way.. and even without Kai, he can defend the interior by himself anyway since his wingspan is about 7'0..
 
Cone's short rotation making players lose energy. KQ could have been inserted to make some 3's. Cone is overusing Brownlee.
 
Get a PG already. These bunch of guards won’t cut it. The opponent presses the lanes and it’s an automatic turnover. Bolick’s strength (creating for himself and breaking the pressure) would’ve had come in handy. Heading is also one guy that could playmake, far better than Perez and Oftana combined.

I say retain Scottie and ride Newsome till the wheels fall off, but SBP should reconsider giving Bolick and Heading a chance in lieu of Perez and Oftana.

You have a point But Chot needs more players that attack the paint like Castro, which we dont have right now aside from naturalized players Chot would prefer Brownlee at PF
 
So can we really say these are the best eligibles we have? I have always said we are not the dream team. PBA excellence is not correlated to Fiba competitiveness. I dont believe in guaranteed slots. I want guys like Winstons, Heading, Bollick, Baltazar and Navarro to be in the pool to compete for the chance to be in the team. Scottie plays defense but he is no creator. That is what Bollick can do. Winston would be an upgrade over CJ. Heading when healthy provides shooting we don’t really have and is actually a decent facilitator. Navarro is a 6’6 decent SF defender. Balti is a 6’7 switchable defender. Why are we not maximizing the talent available? When Tab was in the helm SMC/PBA only lent Raul Soyud. Now SMC is in-charge they refuse to include good players.

What's hapenning in PBA stays in PBA
unless retool their format, fans requesting for years scrap that 3conf per season nonsense, atleast 2import is the norm now see taipei player seems improving in their league.

Korea might lose to Thailand, the game is so messed up I can't even describe it, but yeah they might lose.
 
How many times do i need to say that theirs better players than iskati at PG slot? Theirs a reason kiefer outplayed him in WC and perform bad in asian games..

We have shot creators but those ones are left behind by cone for variety of reasons

Korea declined so fast.. this team will lose to Qatar and Saudi the way they playing... Remember even last window, they almost lose to Indonesia in their home... Not the way Korea qualified in a bad way...

If Chot coach this team, I don't see Skati and Newsome will be the main PG if this team.. he will pick Bolick as his lead guard... The only problem with Chot, he's not fit to handle Kai.. so until Kai retires, Chot should not handle Gilas until he will realize he should give Kai more option... We have to accept that we are like 2000-2010s Iran team.. no Kai, no party... That Asian games gold was a luck for us since the rules was not strict in eligibility.. hence we can send both JB and Kouame...
 
To be fair for the Koreans, they don't have their best players, Lee Hyunjung, Yeo Jun Seok, Choi Jun ​​Yong, and their arguably best PG in Heo Hoon also they don't have an NP yet with kuya Cardo already retired.

These players are like half of their team A already. So yeah, this is basically team B for them too.

While Thailand boasted almost all of their half-thais in Morgan, Lish. Although Jakrawan's absence seems to be big.

Bolick first before Kiefer.. he's more a scorer than Kiefer... He can be 2nd coming of atleast Willie miller for tim cone before with Alaska...
